How do YOU deal with toxic players?

So I'm by no means a skilled player, but this is a game and generally I play games to enjoy them. When I manage to get enough friends online that I can play in a full group or at least a mostly filled group I have a decent time even losing. That said when I even attempt to play solo (normal, I don't do ranked because I'm terribad) inevitably there is at least one person constantly complaining, attacking someone on the team (not always me), trying to shot call while feeding, etc.

Most of the time I just keep quiet and report/block them after the match. But honestly it's getting hard to even want to sign in and play when every game is essentially ruined by some asshat who takes it too seriously.

What kinds of things do you find help you deal with the negative behavior?

At the start of EVERY game. /mute all

Don't wait for them to speak. Don't speak to them. Pings will be all you'll need. They might be cool people, and they might be ragers, but you will NEVER know when you use the mighty power that is /mute all

Seriously, what is chat good for in game? It's used to flame and rage 99% of the time. Why even bother with it? If you DESPERATELY need to say something to the team, they can still hear YOU. Try it.

It was just recently that they added ping mutes. So when someone is salty I mute them and ping mute them. It help soooooo much because if they're going to be toxic toward you, than really they're not going to be helpful with pings. IMO if you do bad they'll just make you do worse by calling you trash and spamming ?????????????? if they know they're muted.

Hey just cuz someone's shot calling while doing poorly doesn't mean they're wrong. Kda doesn't mean that much in terms of shot calling.

As for your og question, I reason with them for a minute or two then I mute and move on to report them after the game.
