It's great that we have a mute all option for people who are saying naughty words, but when is this game going to crack down on people who are trolling and intentionally feeding? I'd rather have someone cursing at me than someone blatantly trying to lose the game. It's ridiculous. It happens way more often than it should. That is what makes this game toxic. People are investing hours and hours and hours in this game to try and climb, but being hindered by other people for no reason. I can go to my match history and look at more than half my losses and point out to you people inting or trolling. And no, it's not just a bad game. It's the equivalent to what happens in Korean solo queue if something bad happens in the early game. They just shut down and either int or passively int. If you don't know what that is, look up Neace's videos on his experience in Korea. I was in Plat 1, climbing my way to Diamond 5 promos, and in two consecutive games, I had diamond 5 players on losing streaks decide they wanted to play champs they haven't mastered and feed because they had some LP to spare before they demoted. I don't know what goes on in these people's head. I don't know what kind of sick enjoyment they get out of it. But it's unacceptable. It makes me not enjoy playing the game. It's like the games come down to who has less trolls on their team.

It's already punishable to troll or intentionally feed, but it's much harder to catch with an automatic system. Under no circumstances does Riot want to inhibit players thinking outside the box for new strategies nor do they want to ban a player for being bad or trying something (in order to win the game) and failing.

Chat however is 100% under the players control 100% of the time. So it's really easy to hold someone accountable for their chat.

I'd rather have someone cursing at me than someone blatantly trying to lose the game.

It's not mutually exclusive. You can play normally without trolling or being verbally abusive.
