Can I please have my border removed?

I am currently Gold 1 with a mid-low plat MMR and every game I go into, almost everyone has a diamond or plat border. Sounds cool right? Wow this guy was silver last season and is now facing players who were plat last season.

Wrong.

Every game I go into... "Wow we have a silver on our team?" or "GG why do I always get silvers on my team" I do well in most games, usually carrying or contributing greatly to my team. But god forbid if I do poorly in a SINGLE GAME...

"Of course we lose this with a silver" and "GG 9x report silver feeding"

Please just remove my border.

Heya, if you really want your border removed, I'm 99% sure that's still something that Player Support can do for you if you ask them. Keep in mind that in the past (and I assume now as well) it is always permanently gone for the season once you ask it removed - they can't add it back if you later decide you want it, and you won't get a border for this season until the normal time.

Trash is going to cry no matter what you do, just dont play ranked if you wont want to deal with trash.

if your dealing with these people and get your border removed then its just gonna be bronze or unranked instead of silver

It's kind of a weird situation the game is in atm. They removed the ability to see enemy teams borders to reduce flaming/inting (i.e., "oh we all silver vs 3 plats and 2 golds gg we lost I feed now). Though nowadays it's more uncommon if someone isn't using some third-party program (op.gg) to check rankings.

I'd be interested in Riot running an experiment re-implementing borders for everyone, and including options like "Hide your border/Hide other borders/flourishes".

Don't let this affect you negatively, use it positively. The fact that you're playing with plat/diamond players as a silver means that you have improved massively and the idiots trying to blame you are just jealous of how someone that was in silver has now risen up to their skill level. And if they complain about having a silver in their team then it means the silver player has a high enough MMR to be playing in a plat/ diamond elo while those apes are so bad that they get matched with silvers. Change your perspective and you'll start to take these remarks as a compliment .

I dont understand how removing the border would make it any better? wouldnt they just assume ur either being boosted or bronze when you have no border at all?

I've always wondered why they even made a border for silver, an elo anyone with a fresh account can get by winning like 4 out of 10 placement matches. But hey, don't feel down about it. I've faced a handful of diamonds and a Master-tier Skarner in ranked 3s who played the worst in the game and made some questionable decisions. As far as I'm concerned, elo hardly means anything. The ranked system is a cluster fuck Riot refuses to fix since they created divisions and blown up damage values to which anybody with a small lead can snowball their lane.
