Falsely Banned for 3rd Party Programs (OBS)

Hello the Legends of this League !!

Today I am writing this post to you not because of good news but exactly the opposite. Yesterday 5/April/2016 I have tried to login to League of Legends hoping to get a win for the "First Win of the Day IP Bonus" but as the ring animation spun and spun only to show me a window telling me my account is Permanently Suspended. In shock, confusion and sadness I opened up my E-Mail to check what was the issue and the E-Mail they sent was even more saddening than the mistake they did; http://puu.sh/o8dVB/1a7bf985f0.png

You see, the ONLY programs I use whenever I play League of Legends are;

  • 1 Open Broadcast System (OBS)
  • 2 Winamp (To make overlay for my stream)
  • 3 Google Chrome

and NONE of those programs intercept with the game itself but only recording what is going on for my Streams. I am not a popular streamer or a Youtuber alright but I still stream & make videos on YouTube for League of Legends only..

I am posting those links above in hope for any person or even Staff members to at least have an idea that I do NOT hack or script or anything, I am AFRAID of losing my account in which I aim to have a good Lee Sin score going on.. why would I risk it by hacking/cheating or exploiting the game anyway..? Something I have spent my hours and if collected, months for.. this account.

I did file a Support Ticket in the Official Website with the Ticket Number of : (#21173132) Gave all the information I can give and even replied a few times to give additional information that I though could be helpful.

Also went on to the Twitter to reach out @RiotSupport as I knew they would at least reply fairly quickly and after I asked about my ban, they said the System itself detects the use of scripts & bots and issues a ban. They referred me to file a ticket and that was the last time I heard about them even after my continued Tweets.

A VERY strange thing is though, that after going a little back on their Twitter account, I saw another guy with the same EXACT problem as me. Falsely banned due to use of 3rd Party Programs in which he insists that he did NOT use. JUST. LIKE. ME. Yet he of course contacted their Twitter and soon found an actual Staff Member who he could talk to and guess what? Riot has CONFIRMED that it was THEIR System's fault on banning the streamer who goes by the name @GoodGuyGarry. They lifted his ban and gave him the account back with an apology gift. For me, I really don't even need an apology but just a real person to talk to.

I ask now, is my fault being the Streams I do? YouTube videos I make? Or that I have failed to become a popular streamer/Entertainer that I can not find an actual Riot Staff to listen to me. Please pardon my frustration and this long post but I would not do either of them if I did not believe I am right and in the need of justice.

If OBS got you banned there'd be no one Twitch streaming right now.

It's highly unlikely that OBs was the cause or like someone else said a whole lot of streamers would have been ban by now.

But like others have suggested just keep contacting support till an actual person response to you.

Did you have any macros set up for streaming? Riot can definitely detect that kind of stuff and even if you didn't use it for an in game advantage they might have flagged your account for that.

so wulf quick q cause i was also banned in the same have u ever downloaded a replay from op.gg becasue that is the only thing i can see as being a 3rd party program that i have ever used around league

Did you modify your game .cfg file.

If its false ban then they will likely lift it, although it might take some trying remain polite, and tell the truth even if you did cheat or hack a game telling the truth is usually the best way to get your account back in a support ticket unless you use the account hacked lie method.

Dude, honestly you might as well hang it up. I've never had any luck with the ticket system. I've had rp not show up on my account, but stil get the bill. I've had 5 game chat mutes from people just being a douche and reporting me since their in a group. My main account got perma banned during this past pre-season. I just screw around when my friends are on now. They have gotten incredibly tight on their security, my friends acc has been perma banned 2 times this season, he just keeps making more. I on the other hand had a smurf already, anything happens to this I'll just quit and go play something else.

The game is changing to the point that if you have "1" teamate that doesn't know what their doing, it will cause the game to be a loss. No matter how hard you carry, if the enemy has even a sorta good comp, you will lose that 4v5.

Anyhow, I wish you luck with getting your account back. Mark my words though, a couple more years and the only people left will be the higher up streamers, and casual Aramer's. Best description for league after 6 years, "stale".

I really don't know what more I can do.. I just feel like crying but the picture you image in your mind where a 22 y/o male cry would be very weird I know.. Not only because I have lost my account forever but also because I can't just let them know I am innocent. Being helpless letting someone know of your own knowledge but still get answered otherwise. Can't I just let a riot staff check in my whole computer or house gosh I would let them I swear..
