I get a suspension for calling out someone calling me a "chinese pig" and a "yellow pig" and "stupid fucking chinese" but they don't get any penalty at all. Guess that's it for me with this game, if the system is that absolutely idiotic then there's no point in playing anymore. Riot would rather get everyone to shut up than actually take correct action.
You cant know If they got punished or not. If you reported them it will get reviewed and they get punished acordingly. However, them breaking the Rules doesnt excuse you doing so. If you think your punishment was unfair, feel free to Post your chatlogs here.

You're very specific as to how you "called them out". If all you said was "hey man, that's really not cool" once then muted them, I guarantee you wouldn't have been punished.
If you harassed or verbally abused them, then yeah, you deserve a punishment. Two wrongs don't make a right
