Riot needs to back off and stop censoring players.

Was in a game where me and the enemy top lane had some back and forth conversation. You know shit talk. ego's collide and we want to take each other out which can make for some interesting fights.

I have this whiny malzahar on my team the attempts to censor me and tells me to stop talking in chat or he will report me? Okay so when the hell did RIOT GAMES appoint any random tom dick and harry to moderate my freedom of speech and competitive spirit? I have played this game for 4 years. I have every right to talk to my enemy laner and it's no one elese god damn business as far as i'm concerned.

This needs to stop. There are horrible horrible people in this community who will report you on the drop of a dime, these reports can get you banned very easily. Based on someone else's nosy feelings. Im tired of being nagged and my account held hostage to some nit wit on the internet who's cranky.

If you weren't toxic you won't get banned. I've had competitive banter with my enemy laner tons of times and only ever got honors lol

Edit: Typo correction, and to say I've been doing that since S2 and never so much as got a warning.

You can have competitive banter without being jerk, but I suspect you go beyond what is reasonable.

I think you have no appreciable ability to understand the subtleties of freedom of speech. So stop invoking it before you embarrass yourself. It does not apply with Riot Games.... or any company for that matter. So don't hurt your head trying to comprehend it. Clearly you don't have enough IQ to get the difference.

"Competitive Banter" for me is like this, really happened.

Lee ward-jumps, I'm Leona and I E to catch him as he tries to slip under the second mid tower. He flashes past it and lives. I say, "Hahaha great flash, you hoser."

It says he made a good move and also mildly insults him at the same time. It's pretty clear from this that I'm not being mean, because of the compliment. I do this kind of stuff a lot, never picked up a punishment.

If you report him for this there is a good chance that it will get flagged for harassment.

This isn't US congress, you don't have and have never had freedom of speech in League.

Different people have different ideas of what is toxic, and on top of that if the Malz thought your typing in all chat was detracting from your play or causing you to tilt then he may want to step in to prevent that. If you aren't toxic, false reports aren't going to matter.

freedom of speech just means the government can't punish you for haveing a opinion or voiceing it, it doesn't free you for consequences nor does it mean others has to host you while you share it... if you get kicked out of a bar or (in this instance) banned on a free online game, aren't your rights being violated.

a other thing you seem to forget about freedom of speech is, it stops where a others starts, this means you got no rights to demand the other 8-9 ppl in this match to just deal with your trash talk, even if this was a freedom of speech matter...

when you made a account and every update there after, did you agree to a set of rules that allow you to play on riots privatly owned server. If you disagree with the rules then simply stop playing.
