Banned for using razer synapse?

I just got home to an e-mail saying I have been banned for 3rd party software? The only software I have ever used was turning on razer synapse data tracking with heatmaps all of 4 days ago. Apparently I am not the only one who has been unjustly banned for 3rd party programs. I can see a few of these posts floating around the boards already. I am in the middle of uploading all of my existing games in the past couple weeks to youtube and will post them here once they are finished for proof.

(These are just the most recent games linking to my account, I have access to probably close to another 40 games saved on plays.tv if people still don't believe me)

Oh man i was banned for drop hacks :/ I completely regret it and totally feel you.

Weird though it looks like you play legit, and none of your winrates look like a scripter :/ Maybe riot did make a mistake?

Do you have more proof of games?

I did check your account op.gg and yeah it doesn't look like you are a scripter at all either..

I also just checked the last 24 hours of posts with the word banned in it... and it looks like a few other users as well may have been banned by mistake because their winrates were also pretty garbo.

Now I know winrates don't really prove that you are not cheating, but wouldn't it be silly if you were to cheat at a game and not try to win ?

Sucks to hear. It's a real shame that this keeps happening to players. The current schema of wide bans with proving innocence later (or when Reddit freaks out) is a literal joke and really goes against what is fair and just. So I feel for you.

Riot needs to do a better job to clarify what 3rd party programs are valid and which are not so players can better help themselves from falling into this pitfall. The pattern of players trying to use programs to gain information on the game or metrics of their own play shouldn't be grounds for banning, but it currently seems to be. Even if there is an argument that disallows the use of programs that give an unfair advantage, it can be argued in return that currently acceptable programs like Curse Voice or others do give an advantage in-game. So to hear that you got banned for using mouse tracking software that doesn't actually assist you in-game is completely hypocritical as a codified rule in the ToS.

Man I love how utterly impersonal that support response was. It's so copy paste it could almost not apply to your situation. Like, why mention securing your account, if it's their internal systems causing the issue? Pretty sure there's nothing you can do about that.

Send a ticket to Riot support and tell them to forward you to the fraud department for a 2nd review.

Am I the only one who doesn't even get to see this guy's videos? I get the video manager on youtube when I try to click any of the links.

EDIT: I saw the rest of the chain. Also the Riot employee said "suspicious activity." If I were you, I would change the account password to something new. Your account may have been compromised and someone else being on your account may have gotten the ban in the first place.

I was banned as well for "third party programs" yet the only modifications i had ever made to league was an announcer pack and i had gotten Razer Synapse not long before i was banned. They also said i was "account sharing" yet noone has my account information aside from myself, i do log in from multiple locations because i travel frequently and i used to go back and forth between my parents when i was still with them. I had two other friends banned as well who had just gotten the same announcer pack and both use Razer Synapse and they were both Bronze 2 and Bronze 4 at the time and i was Gold 1. Yet when i was banned i was on a horrible losing streak lol? if i had the recordings still i would 100% post them for review but i had to delete them for space issues sadly. But i just dont understand why I was banned? I dont even use the Macros in Synapse never have probably never will. But why can professional players use replay tools and announcer packs and be fine if i cannot?

Edit: some macros are allowed. things like text macros are allowed.

{quoted} text macros don't pose an issue for competitive play and doesn't provide any inherent and/or unfair advantages. It's not something that Riot is actioning on at this time.
