Gone for 2 months that now has lead to banned for life

I don't know if it is just me but riot support seems like a copy and paste situation. They give you the same responses like it is run by a machine. To tell you my story I hadn't been on my account for 2 months plus due to being on a practicum at a local school for uni. I felt the need to come back on to chat and play with a few of my friends that I had been neglecting with my study but I got met with a message saying that I was banned for verbal abuse.

Now I don't say anything mean but sarcasm and my chat logs from 2 months ago would show that. However when I looked for support to help I was met by a response that obviously didn't read my ticket. RIOT should look at player IP's because my IP hasn't shown any activity for a long time, my chat is completely different and I have also never been vindictive to another player on league except for my friends because of banter.

The person who took my account had said really dumb things that I would expect from a child like the words beta and alpha referring to people as lower beings and other terms. The hacker also said a lot of things I wouldn't know wtf it meant because it had the worst grammar I had ever seen. If someone wants to proofread and correct the chat I copied you can go right ahead.

I'm posting this because with many other forum posts I have seen about the same situation at least I get a response from real people not league support copy and paste vending machines.

If you have any ideas how I could help my case and recover my account from the ban it would be very much appreciated.

Even if they don't believe it was you, they'd probably still assume account sharing tbh.

Well.. Can we see those chatlogs?

You are right to say that a lot of other people complain that they didn't deserve their ban. Without exception, when we look at the chatlogs, they start making excuses for the blatant rule violations we find in them (yeah but they were worse, or whatever). Maybe you are the one person in a million who really didn't deserve the ban, but until I see your chatlogs, I hope you'll understand me if I sincerely doubt it.

Riot Support did read your ticket and respond appropriately from what it sounds like. They give canned responses if that's all is needed so they can save time, but it is a real person. You are responsible for keeping your account safe, so when you do something that gets it stolen (or just let someone else on it) you are responsible for the actions they take as well.

Sometimes they might revert a permanent ban if it was caused by a compromise, but not always. You need to create a new ticket or reopen that one to continue talking with Player Support about it because we can't do anything here. Check out the following articles for more information;
