Scripting Ban - but never scripted?

Hey, this is my first time writing on the forum and I'd like to greet you all warmly. Happy Valentines Day!

As I'm sure most of you are aware, a lot of people have been massacred in this ban wave over the last few days - I am one of them. I woke up to see I had an outlook message saying I had been banned from League of Legends, at first I thought it was just pure phishing but I was curious and logged in. My face when I saw that I was legitly banned was the epitome of shocked. At first it said for 3rd party/scripting etc... then after sending a ticket they said it was down to scripting.

The system found out I was scripting - but I've never scripted before? Before I received my first ticket I thought it was solely down to me having 3rd party apps like Overwolf, nVidia Geforce, Discord or even MSI gaming app... to find out it was because of scripting - was hilarious. How does the automated system work? Look at my match history on lolking... I'm no where near good enough to be considered scripting and even if you watch all of my match historys all you will see is a below average silver player - so even if someone did manually review my account, they should have noticed 10000% I do not script.

So, it doesn't look like my account will be reviewed properly or more in-depth because Riot have got a lot of demand for accounts to be reviewed, but god damn I am super - fudging annoyed.

This account is: -The only one I've ever played other than a level 6 smurf -The one I've spent the last 3-4 years playing -The one I've spent £250+ on skins on

Why would I risk my account? I haven't but somehow my account has been flagged for scripting - how does the system work?

Riot won't take it seriously, they're a mega company who can just ban and push aside.. but in genuine cases like mine where I haven't scripted, I want to ask you guys on the forum, is there anyway I can dispute this all the way to the end and even take further action? I definitely did not script, whether a program said I did or didn't.

For those interested, these are the programs I had installed on my PC:

  • MSI Gaming APP/ MSI Dragon -Discord -Overwolf -nVidia Geforce Experience.

TLDR;

  • Is there a way to further dispute or take action against a false ban? or maybe a way to get someone to review my case more deeply -How does the scripting-detection work and how did my account get flagged for it, if I've never scripted?

EDIT: Looks like a few people have got their ban reversed. I on the other hand have had my tickets concluded and ignored, apparently they won't say nothing more on the matter... I'm hoping that's not the case and will keep sending tickets and fighting to get my account reviewed properly!

Even if i have not been banned i am scared as fk after reading these stories. I mean i could be banned out of nowhere for scripting and i couldn't even defend myself simply because they don't even give you the chance.

The only way people like us get anywhere with this gigantic mess is by blowing them up on social media and calling them out on their downright dreadful player support. They're clearly ignoring the outcry for help and probably wont respond to any of the threads regarding this mass banwave... (notice how the only post that actually gained any steam is slowly being knocked down the list but bs like the rioters "meme" post)

I literally haven't been able to sleep the last few days from the sheer amount of stress and anxiety this situation has caused me. I've said this before in another post but i would honestly travel to an actual riot headquarters to solve this shit if the situation allowed me to.. Would someone using petty scripts knowing full well what the risks are be willing to go to such lengths just for an account? Do people honestly believe that? Because i care about my account far too much to stop now until i either get it unbanned or i get an apology from riot along with some form of compensation to replace what was so ruthlessly snatched from me and many others without a second thought.

It's not my area of expertise, but I have let the experts know that people are curious.

In my experience, the 3rd party bans are very very very .. very accurate. Most of the time when people genuinely didn't script and get punished, it's because they gave their account to a friend, a booster, or purchased an account from someone who did. Boosters script all the time, and it's a surefire way to get your account banned.

Scripting communities even get together and draft responses together, in an attempt to make their requests seem more legitimate by flooding forums/support with similar requests.

Did you do any of the following as stated by Riot Tantram: Let a friend play on it (or you are the friend), had it boosted (notorious for using scripts), or purchased the account?

I don't know what you people are talking about anytime I go to support I am always helped efficiently by a real person and if you get wrongly banned for scripting they will fix it as it has happened on an alternate account of mine I sent a ticket to riot they rechecked the account and removed the ban and even on an account of my brother who did script got banned he tried to send a ticket to rid of it and they once again rechecked his account and confirmed he was scripting and the ban stayed

Same here, I've given up on contacting support. They truly do not care about their player base. Clean account for multiple years and then boom instantly perma banned. Sucks yo.... it was about time to quit playing this game anyways.. was way to addicted to it.

Feel like I'm sinking even deeper into this abyss of injustice. I keep checking my email to see if I have got any emails from Riot, regarding my ban, but I either get a closed ticket or automated response. I won't stop fighting.

Congratulations to all who got their ban reversed, I understand and relate to your struggle whole heartedly. I see a load of posts about people saying that those who are still banned are all cheaters, although it's annoying to hear that bs - I can only put it down to ignorance and misunderstanding/ no belief. Even I'm sceptical when I see people's posts about being banned and half believe them and half don't. That's how we are as humans tho right, we don't just believe or trust easy and those that do are fools.

This hasn't even stopped... this happened to me TODAY.. when all I've been playing are ARAMs lately. That and I haven't even played in two days then I get this email stating I'm using third party programs to hack and I'm perma banned. That and they closed the case immediately after responding to me. This is really sad/disappointing. I wish they would pay attention to their player base.
