Why are people defending Tyler1?

Dude has 19 perma banned accounts and is well known for his toxicity and "running down mid" for one small incident that a teammate does during a game. A great example is when ROBERTxLEE took blue buff from him as a corki when he was draven (which makes 0 sense to why you need blue on draven compared to corki). I see comments in the thread saying that this was unjustified; Meteos being a hypocrite for his opinions on tyler1 and all that nonsense. I don't understand why the community is supporting a toxic player who is encouraging and exposing this behavior to others who are going to be doing the same thing in their games? Can someone explain why we are supporting this kid?

He actually was reforming on his last account though.

He never int fed and anything in chat was mild and comparable to what I see in my own games frequently. An indefinite ban is basically saying he is never allowed to play the game again. A 6 month or 1 year ban would have been sufficient

He is not a "kid", but an adult. The guy is a good streamer. I have been watching him on and off for the past little bit and I don't see his behavior a problem actually. I see more flame from random people in Gold 10 fold more than I seen him complain or anything. Riot is quite pc about everything just like all businesses are becoming and I think in general people are getting tired of the same run of the mill bullshit.

Personally i find him enjoyable to watch, yes i'm an individual that enjoys watching "toxicity" no i'm not referring to the straight up flaming at an individual but more so that troll aspect. Honestly i don't see any real harm, if he gets banned he does.

What i actually find funny is what people consider to be toxic. Take for explain today I pointed out to my support that in a 30+ minute game not once did he consider to get a red sweeper for a twitch player that was sneaking into lane to burst kill the sona player. This player decides to respond by calling me toxic. Not once during my suggestion did i curse or say anything outside of a mere suggestion. Yet for a suggestion i am toxic. Now correct me if i am wrong this is a team game, and part of teamwork is making suggestions to your teammates. But, what I really see from this tyler1 guy is that he is basicly something that exposes how little team work is involved in solo que.

So what I would rather pose to you is in a game where teamwork is so little and a game where individual performance is more what this game is really about why isn't the ranking system of this game more based on that? I mean you really can't talk to your team mates in any sort of way without someone taking anything out of context. And most of this is due to the fact that everything is written words taking in any context besides on that could be a positive one. There is no voice to tell if a fuck you is playful, or threaten. I mean really I say to my best friend, fuck you %%%%%. And they will know that it is just using colorful playful banter as a response to something I am in a way laughing off. Or if I am about to get in a fight I can walk up to said person and say, Fuck you %%%%%. And they will know that they have in some way offended me to the point i am ready to fight from my voice. Yet in either of those examples if i write it down they won't know how I mean it and make their own judgments on the context of that statement i wrote down.

So, when you say toxic. First and foremost, "Fuck you" do you have any way to determine if i am using it in a playful manner or if I am using it as a way to threaten or demoralize you? If you do please explain to me how you can make that judgment? What sources have given you that logical thought

Beyond that one of the bigger things riot should be focusing on are the other problems that they introduced with this new system yet haven't addressed. The game has been going on for 5+ years and they still are working farther away from a more precise matchmaking system and settling on a its okay and kinda works for now shitty system only to make a small step towards a better system with the role picking. Bravo, I commend you riot it was needed, yet along with this from your dynamic groups that join in there is so much bullying for position that people want to play. I have seen so many games in lower elo where people will ask for a role even if they didn't get that role that it becomes such an annoyance before the game starts and places me on tilt. Yet, what can i do? Nothing because no matter this problem it is something else you just let slip through the cracks. Am i to report it after the game? What would it go under? So, again i say there is nothing i can do. And one small problem I do have with the new system is that the idea of fill backfires so much more in low elo because it puts people that expect their main role to be filled first to start these said problems i am bringing up.

It's funny how easely a whole community can be brainwashed into thinking that banning people for saying what they want in chat should be punished with a permanent ban. I guess people love to be controlled by big companies.

From a business standpoint, you don't want your brand related to negative discussion. It's the QA of the system properly checking and processing.

Furthermore, I don't understand what you were trying to say:

You mean that a permanent ban for verbal abuse and harassment should be issued because it's too harsh? Well tough luck, me and other Tribunal reviewers of the past, have passed very heavy punishments in the past for verbal abuse. Riot just uses our input to do what they do. Nobody likes a troll; not in NA, BR, CN, RS, EU, EUW, or any other present or future servers/communities.

What you are saying is beyond dumb. Your ''brand'' is not related to a player typing something in the in-game chatbox in any way. No one will ever connect someones words that are being typed in-game with the company. And I'm not free to express my opinion, that's the whole point, I can get perma banned for it because people like you think we need a daddy to protect us in a video game. If people will not wake up soon and realise that a game company should not be allowed to take a game away from you because you don't play it the way they want, you are going to see an increase in the power of game companies over the players.

My friends don't want to start league specifically because of the toxicity that's associated with it, including what people type in chat. So no, you're wrong. You wouldn't say toxic shit like "kill yourself you worthless piece of shit" to someone in person, why say it online? Because the person you're saying it to doesn't have a daddy to protect them? Riot doesn't like their game associated with toxicity and victims of harassment don't like the fact that people can hide behind a screen to avoid consequences so Riot is doing their best to help that. Also how about you just don't be toxic? Like it really can't be that hard XD. If you feel that you want to rage at someone... just don't.

Everyone can play as good or as poorly as they want to. Otherwise, I wouldn't get dragged down ranks in straight losses from bad teamwork and player skill. That's not an issue.

When your kind asks other trolls like Kaceytron or BritannyVenti to be removed from the game, calling them "twitch-whores" (when they're just female trolls, yay misogyny) they're removed because TwitchTV doesn't want to be associated with that kind of content.

I used to be a group of 15 and growing players in my high school, in a graduating class of 160, that's 10% roughly. Now they've all stopped, citing insensitivity, racism, horrible harassment, verbal abuse, and long game times. Even my University's LoL club, once a prosperous 300 person group, is down to about 30 dedicated player-members in just two years. All citing the horrible toxicity and detriment to the game.

You're weird pseudo-logic doesn't apply here because it makes sense to you. Players of the past created the guidelines.

Honestly this is why Rito ignores so much of player feedback. Because literally every decision they make they have hundreds of children whining saying how unfair and hypocritical they are and how they're ruining the game.

And yet most of them still play.

Meanwhile the genuine feedback from hundreds of players about the state and direction of the game was drowned out by people like that. And most of them went to Overwatch.

You can't accuse someone of not listening to their fans when their fans say stupid crap on a daily basis.
