Perma bans are quite interesting. You guys allow a mute function, a chat restriction, but nothing of such being a PERMA SILENCE, which I have seen common in a vast majority of games to deal with toxic behaviour. League of Legends course of action however, is simply a money grab, I've been around since about season 2. At first you guys didn't care about money, however now I know it's all you care about. You say you dont tolerate toxicity but when you ban people, you fully allow them to make a new account that has full chatting rights so it actually doesnt do anything, people just make new accounts and play on that one, and more than likely, FLAME there too, and you say oh well they will keep getting banned, yeah they will but it still is a constant cycle, the only reason you "tolerate" is because people more than likely spend money on the other account they make too, thus meaning you keep earning money, while pretending to solve the problem, with pings in the game now, smart pings at that, there is absolutely NO reason that you cannot just permanently silence someone and prevent their chatting abilities, which would not only solve the toxicity AND it would make the environment better.

The down side? People that have spent money dont have to re buy skins they had on their other account that they like hence why they bought it etc. I mean I want my account back obviously, or atleast, all the money i have spent for stuff in game to be transfered to my new account. You guys do anything to make more money though so why would you give me my account back? Oh and dont waste your time saying "well you were the one that broke the code." I understand, but there is an ALTERNATIVE way to deal with it, not only is it more efficient when it comes to doing what you SAY that you are trying to do so hard, ( stop the toxicity ) but that isn't gonna work with you for the simple reason that I have stated multiple times, you guys are money hungry. I get there's a lot of you but c'mon, make money from new content, you dont need to try and make money off banning people that will constantly buy into it, sure you say "well we dont force you to, its entirely their choice" which is true, but I mean, you and I both know that you KNOW they will.. Great game dont get me wrong, people in the beggining were great before the game went main stream; heck you would even send people a tiny amount of RP if they drew you a picture of a champ with your on take on it...

Disagree. Riot has stated many times that they DON'T want banned players returning -- they simply can't reliably stop them, as IP banning isn't really effective. It's also MUCH more reliable to make money by producing content that your high-paying customers want than to BAN them and *hope* that they keep playing and spending money -- many don't.

...but nothing of such being a PERMA SILENCE

Riot has experimented with this. It didn't really work to their satisfaction, which is why we don't have this feature.

I respect that, I mean they told me straight up with the ban when i messaged them that I was welcome to make a new account and play again, I still have it to show it, also, they have a muting feature where you can literally /mute team /mute enemy team /mute all. I just can't imagine it would be that hard, again though that's my opinion.

Yep. This is a thing they do, because, again, they can't STOP you, and I imagine they got sick of answering support questions about that topic. Also note that newer accounts are punished a little harder for toxicity, so toxic players WILL struggle to make and KEEP new accounts.

I mean, clearly I cant be that toxic then if I've kept a new account scotch free for a year already..not struggling at all lol.. I'm aware it doesnt excuse toxic behaviour, again, main point was that they can stop the toxicity a different way thats a lot more efficient over all. I let it go a long time ago about my old account, I simply stated i obviously wanted it back because of the value that went into the account, as I said in another reply, as an example, get a chat restrict for being toxic in 3 games out of 1000, then a ban for toxic in 2 games over the course of 500 more games, that - 5 games out of 1500 total is what as a % ?? about 0.33% which isn't often at all.

It's almost like their is a Terms of Service/Terms of Agreement that you agree to and broke.

You don't need to make a single purchase to play this game.

EDIT: There is an alternative, don't buy things, and if you do choose to buy things, don't break their rules that you agreed to, its a community, they have to keep the community clean, if you have like 3 banned accounts with purchases on all of them, the issue is not with the purchases, Riot, or the account, the issue is with you, the way you act in-game and by breaking the rules. That person should learn their lesson of either stop making purchases and remain toxic and go on making an new account every month, or they can start following the rules they agree to when they signed that account up on the website.

I've already assumed i can't get the account back, but as for the state of the game, it can be easily fixed. Instead of banning all they have to do is permanently silence people. Can you be toxic if you cant speak? No you can not, if you get banned and make a new account, can you be toxic ? yes you have full chatting abilities. The cycle will never end the way they go about it. Permanently silencing people again, would stop the toxicity, i'm pretty sure that people who have spent anything on the game wouldn't turn around and make a new account over not being able to speak in game. SO not only does it solve the toxic problem in league, but also, people can keep their account that they have invested time into, lets not forget time is a precious thing also. I understand where you're coming from and i respect your comment, however i think you may have misinterpretted the point i was trying to make.

They dont want those people in game. If they silence them, those people will still play. Goal of perma ban is to get rid of those people.

But they allow you to make a new account, they even told me to play again i just needed to make a new account.. if they didnt want people like that in game why would they even say that? It sort of contradicts itself in my opinion. Sorry i'm just not on the same page I guess.

Because they cant stop u from making new account. I doubt they really told u to make new account.

I had one account from s2 - end of s6 area. over what like 5 years? I now have only one other account which is the current one I play on, the only account I put money into was my first account. I do not have more than one account that I play on actively, nor do I have more than two accounts in total ever made. I never understood smurfing personally. Again, my account is fine and I've had it over a year. I understand what you are saying. Also, the 14 day ban, It was given two years before I was perma banned. With their system I just dont get how it can determine whos "toxic" regularily if that person has played lets say again, 1000 games, he was toxic in 3, plays another 500 ( all in a short period of time) he was toxic in 2 of them and gets banned, yes thats 5 games, but thats over the course of 1500 games. very small % overall.. I do agree with yoyu though if someone is repeatedly banned and has purchases on all the accounts, but they are toxic repeatedly on all accounts, that is their own problem, i agree they asked for it and never learnt their lesson.

First : riot does not care how much money u put in the game , that wont protect you if u flame or if you are toxic . Before the perma ban there is a 14 days ban (i guess) . if u did not learn your lesson there the result is perma ban .

I mean I want my account back obviously And you wont get your account back ^.^

Over a year prior. & I know they dont care how much money you put into the game. I mean, I still have an account currently that isnt banned and i've had it for over a year also.

You're missing the point already. The perma ban is not because chatting is the problem. The problem is that the player is habitually violating the agreement that they signed.

They are not following the terms that allow access to the software, so they do not have access to the software.

I mean, over 3000 games easily more as I had made the account and played pretty regularaly since season 2 area & i was given 2-3 games for the ban. However I dont understand how it would be habbit if I had a very large amount of games played in a short period of time. As an example: Lets say in 1 season I played 1000 games, I was toxic in 3 of those games and a 14 day ban, i played another 500 games and was toxic in 2 of those, resulting in a permanent ban. As a % that's what 0.33%?

Honestly, In a very large amount of my games im not, I'm the one trying to keep the team positive and happy, I honestly had a bad day and just made a poor decision. I still own an account that isnt banned. I'm not toxic, if I am, it was very rarely or just had a bad day, no excuse but not often i flame if at all.
