Unfair Punishment

Iv'e had a few chat restrictions before, getting into arguments and such but i didn't expect a 14 day suspension for this, since it was such a small thing. Now i BY ACCIDENT took fervor and 17% atk speed runes and rumble. Vs Jayce. It didn't go too well. I got dumpstered. Dove and dove by the jayce by the time lane was over i was a sad 0/6. We pick up rift and i use it, and mid channel an ori pops up. Takes half my hp with a qw and i get killed by they're adc. Herald still takes a chunk of the turret's hp. So then the Nami on our team says "you sir have down syndrome" i tell her iv'e had a chat restrict for saying that same thing and you should have one too. With a cherry on the top calling her a %%%. I mean it's not by the summoner's code by any means but she called me a downie so i think i should have the right to exchange a little banter. She keeps calling me an idiot, retard, inter and so on. Finish off the game 0/10 not my best but we actually still won bc our jinx went like 23/1. Client acting up so i close and re open it. I got a 14 day suspension for calling people a %%%got and the dude that called me a downie retard is probably in another game rn. I call bs, riot. Iv'e said things much worse for a 1- game chat restrict. This is such a dumb situation.

The punishment system works off a ladder system. If you've had recent chat restrictions, the next punishment may be a 14 day ban.

After this ban, be sure to keep civil since the next ban is likely to be a perma.

Yep. Derogatory language will do that. You're frankly lucky it was JUST a 14-day suspension -- that language can trigger a 14-day suspension just by itself, and can often escalate an existing punishment straight to a permanent ban.

Now don't get me wrong -- the other party's actions aren't acceptable in the least, and I hope they will end up punished soon as well. But that doesn't justify your behavior in adding to the already toxic environment.

No, you don't. Just because someone else is breaking the rules doesn't mean you have the right to do so as well. If someone else is harassing you through chat, then you should mute them and report them after the game.

Now, if the Nami wasn't punished after that game, that doesn't mean that her behavior was acceptable or that your report was worthless. Her behavior definitely wasn't acceptable, and your report will indeed help get her punished. You have to keep in mind, though, that not every report made against a player will result in an immediate punishment after that game. The system works based on severity and frequency, so if she wasn't punished when you were, it's likely because the Nami doesn't behave like that as frequently as you do.

If you've used worse, you were lucky up until now. Slurs aren't tolerated.

You were told when you got your chat restrictions that punishments would continue to escalate if you did not improve your behavior.

You did not heed the warnings, and now you are surprised that using homophobic slurs got you in trouble again.

Your next punishment may very well be (and is likely to be) a permanent suspension of your account. Please take the time to figure out what you need to change in order to avoid that. If you post your chat logs here we can help you identify areas to improve, but otherwise, at an absolute minimum, avoid calling people racial, ethnic, homophobic, or ableist slurs.

this stuff is exactly why I'm considering quitting league (as stated in my most recent thread) things like this is all you ever hear from all the players in league. Like go kill yourself or your moms is a whore kind of deal. with my no matter how much I report them they never get banned so tbh you're just luck y to actually get banned because most players never do.
