Does Riot Care about people botting?

So I have reported no less than a hundred people for running bot programs. Most of them in 3v3. I've never heard a peep back about it.
In a recent game I reported someone who was flipping out about losing and threatened to be an Isis hacker and he was going to swat me. within a minute i got a popup from the tribunal that he had been dealt with. Does that mean tthat since i've never gotten a popup before that the hundred botters i've reported have gone free? Should I continue to bother? It is extremely detrimental to game play when the other team can just farm your bot for 15 early kills then steam roll you. We can't even surrender because bots don't vote. "Vote failed 2:0" awesome...

This sounds like a major problem. You should send this directly to riot games!

Riot doesn't care about botters or scripters these days. I was playing an aram three days ago and it was obvious that two of the opposing team were bots. I reported them, nothing. My next game, I went up against a riven who admitted to scripting and had evidence in the chat (he had /all set to go when he inputted his script macro and we saw it), reported it, and nothing.

I kept track of these botters and scripters through op.gg and they are STILL playing today. It's pathetic that riot wants to take a stand vs toxic players, botters, and general cheaters, yet, every day they ignore about a hundred, if not a thousand reports of botting and scripting and do nothing about it.

Well just because someone get's punished doesn't mean you will always get a report. I would still report them but that's just me.

what exactly do you consider a "bot"? because i've seen lots of people in 3s who didn't know how to buy items or use their skills correctly who were actually just new people.

Have you done your research? I'm asking, because yes they have done things and posted about it before.

Anyway, they tend to do it in waves. Don't ask me why, I think it has to do with programming mumbo jumbo (they prefer to ban them all at once, I guess?). Other games, like Runescape, have done bot-banning in massive waves (also called bot nuking, I believe?) rather than individually.

So they do care, and there is legitimate criticism on how they go about it, but yes they do in fact care.

I was actually wondering this too, because after playing with a Yasuo bot on our side, I tried to block him and accidentally friended him. I still see him Yasuo botting weeks later and it's disgusting.

For the first 10-15 levels I couldn't ever do AI matches because literally every game had a Soraka bot. Who just... followed a player around and deprived them of exp. But they've never been punished so I dunno, maybe they need super evidence to ban them.
