What is going on?

This season has been pretty good to me. I've climbed the highest I've been so far, and haven't had too many games where we lost due to a troll or afk'er. However, these past 2 days have been absolutely unbearable. Five games in a row now, filled with intentional feeders, ragers, or general negative attitude. I've climbed as high as I have because I realized that games aren't over until they're over - that comebacks DO happen. And damn, they're glorious.

I wonder if people just don't care at this point, because season 5 is practically done. Just hop in to troll. I only come to forums because as I said before, this season has been mostly troll-free. Seriously, not many games of mine were lost because someone left or intentionally fed..probably could count the number on one hand. I just don't understand..maybe the league gods don't favour me anymore? haha

/rant. Just needed to vent friendos.

Well, I have no academic expertise on the matter, but from what I can speculate, you are not far off from the truth. In a nutshell, what is happening right now is that the trolls are coming out to play because a lot of people are stressed out and trying to climb for the season rewards. This means there are plenty of easy targets for them and they can feel good about themselves without having to put in much work.

Which is ridiculous. In the last month of the season, Riot should really step up their banhammer-ing. They should be vigilant year round, but that might be too much to ask. If that's true - where lots of people play now to get their rank goal - there should be WAY more patrolling for these trolls.

If I made an account specifically made to insult people on a daily basis, I could get to level 30 and then get back into gold before It would get banned or probably even a warning.
