Fake "Your account will be suspended" messages.

Did you ever receive a message like: "Due to the tribunal of blah blah blah, and your recent behavior blah blah blah, your account will be supended after this game." Well those messages are fake, and I have been sent many of those messages. You can easily check by using /r . and the name of the "criminal" will be shown there". I just wrote this so you can be calm and check before making any assumptions. Thanks for your attention and I hope I was able to help you out :)

Jesus the first time I got one of those was after a game I had with a garbage jinx who was blaming me for losing lane, I was very respectful towards her but in the end she went crazy and tried baiting me into swearing. In the end game screen I asked her why she was being such a %%%% to me and she just said "tsk tsk tsk, swearing isn't allowed so enjoy being reported <3 :)". The next game was when I got that message and knowing what other people get punished for I got spooked hard. Legit thought that rito misunderstood the situation and was gonna ban me for calling someone a %%%% once.

It is possible to be punished for typing %%%% once. The punishment would be a 14 day ban if your account was clean or a perm ban if your account has any punishments in recent history.

You shouldn't type it.

Entirely incorrect. If Riot banned players for cursing (even repeatedly) this community would consist of about 10 people.

Also, and more importantly, Riot does NOT ban for anything that occurs in the pre-game or end-game lobbies (which is where the player typed the alleged curse). I do not know why they have not added these chat rooms to the in-game chat that is submitted when a report is filed, but to the best of my knowledge they still do not review these chat logs during an "investigation".

Cursing is fine. Anything that comes out as %%%%% on the forums is classified as hate speech by Riot and earns escalated punishment.

The pre and post game chat are both recorded and available for review if reported. There are technical difficulties that stop the IFS from including them in reform cards.

I see. Didn't realize that.

HOWEVER, given the frankly asinine conditions under which a term is coined "hate speech" in modern society, I would very much like a list of the words that Riot considers "hate speech". I imagine that it is quite extensive and equally ridiculous, given that the censor now blocks words like "cancer" and " AIDS".

I would've never considered (British vagina slang) as hate speech, but it's my main go-to slur since the word means nothing to me anymore. I do however understand that because it doesn't phase me anymore it doesn't mean someone else won't be angry about it, which is why I only (if ever) curse in the end-game screen since it means we're out of the game and I can't tilt whoever's being a dick.

That's disgusting how she was flaming you entire game and when you said something wrong after being polite to her all the time, she just says that like she actually wanted to make you swear so you can get punished by the system.

And does end-game screen count into chat logs?

Heard someone else say it does.

This has been an issue on and off, and it looks like people have been using this to send prank messages to friends and/or scare enemies. One thing that is constant is that impersonating a Rioter/Riot Games is against the Terms of Use and a punishable offense. If you see someone using this "exploit", you should tell them politely to stop and that it's against the rules, and if the behavior is malicious or continues, report them to Riot Games Player Support in a ticket:

How exactly do they manage to impersonate Rioters?

by writing "Riot" infront of their usernames? Rioters have that one and only unique trait that their Name contain that one-sillable word before all else. Capital R mind me.

But it isn't allowed. Not only it's not allowed, does the system LET you make a name with "Riot" in it?

When i got this message i typed /r stfu , but the guy who send me the message wasn't one who give up that easily, so he continued "with the reason of harrasing riot games employee, your account, and the future created accounts will be permanently suspended after this game", this made my day :D

Reminds me of the time we could make our messages look like riot text to others in game. You know how people burn flash and all the other important cooldowns when they see the enemy team surrender? Friends could send messages looking exactly like that surrender text.

I know it already but the first time I saw it, I thought I would be perma banned. It tilted me and I ended up losing my ranked match.

I Q1 votes

The first time I got one was DURING MY RANKED PROMOs.

Luckily I knew to type /r

ChuShoe1 votes

what's /r?

Pardon my ignorance, I'm still a bit new to league.

DrCyanide5 votes

The chat command for reply. It lets you reply to messages friends send you while you're in game. After typing "/r " it gets converted to "/msg YourFriendsName"

ChuShoe2 votes

Ohhhh so that's how people do that. Thanks! ^_^

Friendly Ram1 votes

Wait thats still going around. I just laughed at it since it mentioned the tribunal.

Primaquarius1 votes

I got this message one time, saying I would get permanent suspension after the game.

I was 50/50 thinking this was bullsht, and my concerns vanished when I was able to queue for another game
