"because it's aram" - excuse

Why does people think just because they are playing aram they can fool around - may be not trolling, but still to the extend that they don't take it the same level as summoner rift games.

Or worse, they just afk every now and then - and other behaviours that they basically will not do in a normal game.

They always say "because it's aram".

I play games for fun, ranked for serious competitive games. aram is no different than normal, yet people tend to just fool around in aram, I don't get it. Why don't you also fool around in normal then? It's not ranked, you don't get scored. Regardless of aram or normal - I still want to win, not in a competitive-serious sense, but I play to win, yet most don't care "because it's aram"

"I play games for fun..." Yet your whole post is about how others can't fool around in aram. LOL. What if what you call "fooling around" is fun for them? Is it strictly only based on how you feel?

well if its fun for them to afk for 5min or just dont join in teamfights, sit back and laugh i think they are doing something wrong. your fun shouldnt exist because you piss off 4 others

in general, fun does not equal fooling around (definitely not cool if it at the expense of 4 others). You can still wanting to win while having fun playing a game

HOWEVER - let's agree they can fool around = fun, WHY then do they only do it in ARAM, they don't fool around the same way when they are playing normals.

That's the entire point of the thread - why do people treat ARAM differently

aram is meant for fooling around. it was literally created by players fooling around in customs.

Not entirely, fooling around in customs doesn't also mean that the game mode itself is meant to be fooled around in.

Not everyone that plays league plays it to fool around. Not everyone in ARAM fools around in ARAM. Even so, some people play the mode and even if you try to talk to them and say, "hey can we try this or that" they will honestly start messing around, feeding, diving 1v5 because they can, and being very toxic during chat because "It's ARAM, why so serious?"
