The Ranked System, and Trolls.

The ranking system in League of Legends is incredibly unfair, and in no way indicative of a players' individual skill. And Yes, I'M ANGRY. I'll begin with a story. So, I started playing ranked games sometime last year, and I did rather well in my placements. I was placed in Silver IV, which I was pretty proud of. I now realize how much of a hell this low elo is. My only goal for last year was to make it to gold... I never came close. Every time I reached promos, I would do my very best, playing only my favorite champions and cheering on my team to the best of my ability. And yet, there's always something outside the realm of my control that ruins it all. Teammates that feed way too much, afk's, or just trolls... It was so disheartening that I stopped playing ranked altogether. Fast-forward to this year, where I've been placed in Bronze I. I won 6 out of my 10 placement games, and I was already having a bad time. Finally I found myself up for promotion to Silver again, and what do you think happens? I lost 2 games in a row due to incredibly toxic teams that were playing like children. So I say to myself; I'm going to carry these next 3 games, no matter what. And I did, for the next 2 games. I carried the shit out of them. I went into the fifth game with high spirits, cheering on my team and hoping for the best. And we were completely stomped. Top fed. Mid fed. And our adc was farming all game (I was the jungler). I COULD NOT HAVE DONE ANYTHING DIFFERENTLY. I ganked well, I applied map pressure, kept my wards up, but there's not a goddamn thing I could do to save that game. And now I'm here. Complaining on the boards, because I have too much free time. Now, I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'm sure I would do well in Gold or higher. Before you tell me that I'm where I belong, and that my rank will sort itself out, think about what you're saying. Do you really believe that? Is it not POSSIBLE my luck is so abysmal that I'm lumped with the worst teams?
