14-day suspension from one chat, here's the log

Just recieved a 14 day suspension from a single report, most likely the guy flaming me. In short, on his very first death he said, "thanks for picking renek jg, moron, go kys." He then afks to continue his massive flame. He used various spaces in his words like "puss y" and "b it ch" over and over in an attempt to dodge trubunal? Was I banned because I wrote kys? I can't understand this punishment at all. In any case, heres my chat. Justified?

Bruh, don't repeat things other people say. If it's reportable then just report them yourself. Lobbying for people to 9x them or whatever doesn't do anything. Multiple reports don't stack, and it only takes one to trigger a review.

And you put yourself in the line of fire from the Instant Feedback System because you repeated zero tolerance language. Don't say "KYS" even if you're just quoting somebody else. It's unnecessary at best, and incredibly offensive at worst, and it will only get you into trouble like it did here.

KYS is part of the zero tolerance policy. It always starts at a 14 day temp ban.

Even if you didn't say KYS back to the Kayle after you repeated it... (I don't understand why you felt the need to tell people someone said that to you since the report system is "reported" vs "not reported" and if you report, that's all that is needed to trigger a review. Multiple people reporting doesn't change anything), you still probably would have gotten a chat restriction. You're kinda toxic to your teammates and you clog the chat.

You should just mute, report, and move on.

Tribunal no longer exists. Haven't for years actually. Riot uses automated punishment system now.

The way it works. When you get reported, you are flaged to be reviewed by the system. If system finds nothing toxic, report is discarded. If it finds something toxic, that match is added to your list or matches you have been toxic in. All additional reports you received in same match discarded in both cases, that is why 1 report equals 9.

If you are toxic in enough matches, system punishes you, depending on how many punishments you had before.

There are 4 punishments, 10 games chat restriction, 25 games chat restriction, 14 days ban and permaban.

There is an exception tho. There are zero-tolerance phrases. Like racial and homophobic slurs. Telling other players to go kill themselves, which is what you did, is also one of those. With zero-tolerance phrases typing them just once will get you 14 days ban, or permaban, if you had 14 days ban before.

Because system is automated it does not care about why you said it. It reviews your behaviour only. And if you reported that other player, he got banned too, no doubt.

Also, you should be careful after your ban is lifted. After 14 days ban, being toxic in just 1 match is enough to be permabanned.

You typed too much, easy indicator, and you are harassing him, " get help irl", " summer school out" etc.

Now you have a 14 day ban, so remember that this is the second chance, clearly you using chat is what got you this ban, If teamates are being toxic you use the MUTE button right away, and report them after game and thats all you need to do. Do not re-engage in the chat trying to type too much or point out how bad they are behaving.

So after your ban, play your next games really really REALLY carefully, Use the basic mute button. Pings are just as effective to communicate.

Do not risk trying to talk to someone or spam lines after lines of texts, otherwise, no matter how minor it may seem or if the content is toxic or not, you will get the perma ban.

Then you will end up like these other desperate people trying to talk riot out of their perma, you dont want that because it ends up nowhere.

My advice to you is, mute, mute, mute, and mute. or do not use the chat at all if you want to be extra careful.

Try not to end up with perma, and you were warned, 14 day ban is thin ice youre standing on, one wrong movement and ice will break and its a perma.

I'm so utterly confused. Does trib just find key words regardless of context and dishes out punishments automatically? This is just insane.

They might reverse it. Kys is a key word. Why people feel the need to repeat is beyond me, but send in a ticket.

Ok, for one, you are typing way too much for absolutely no reason. And then you also type some irrelevant stuff like "seek counselling" or "school is over", indicating you being selective over kids being stupid or something.

You kept being toxic with your spamming in chat, you accused the other guy for being homophobic and racist, even though there was no proof of either. You kept on being passive aggressive. 100% justified penalty.

The same punishment should be given to the other player as well, if he indeed said what you claimed.
