Do you guys think the punishments for being banned are too harsh?

Not only can you not play the game for about half a month after getting banned but after that you get starved for keys (sometimes boxes too) and don't get season rewards(you don't even get an icon)and for some people season rewards are what they really want and they can spend up to a year try to get the rewards they want and it can all be ruined by them messing up a few times and with people that int and troll in a competitive match it's really hard for some people to keep their composure

I also think perma bans are super nasty it makes it so even if someone does reform they can play on their account again after something that would probably take a good amount of time like leveling an account to 30 and not being toxic for 3 months or something.Another thing they could do is just make the bans increasingly longer but never permanent or make it so you have to get banned more times until its permanent because getting in trouble 2 times then not being able to play on the account they could have put years into is kinda dumb.

I think bans should not be thrown out as quickly as they are because people can get falsely reported and it can get them banned.

I think they should revamp the ban system

So here's my question.

Experiments (including Riot's) have proven that offering more and more chances or more and more light punishments do not meaningfully reduce the behavior in question.

Why, therefore, should Riot extend more chances to those players who have already proven the current warnings and chances are insufficient to encourage change? All that does is expose more and more of the playerbase to problematic behavior as those whose behavior IS an issue now have more leeway.

As is the system already has some leeway for minor toxicity, so people can have the occasional bad day as long as they're not abusing other players or casually tossing around hate speech. Why do we need more?

False reports don't do anything..

If you're truly falsely reported you get no punishment but I mean truly falsely reported none of this "I don't deserve this ban then proceed to show a wall of chat logs of harassment, flaming and negative communication. "

Why should they get their rewards? They can't follow the summonses code why should they be rewarded? That just tells people they can do what they want and still get what they want.

Aldo you get plenty of time to reform before a perma ban unless you skip tiers by saying something zero tolerance, it's not like you do one thing one and you're banned for life because you're not and if the person can't reform after the earnings they've received then they deserve their ban because most players don't want to play with people like that.

I think that the punishment system should use separate ladders for separate kinds of behaviors, to give players who genuinely don't understand how to behave an opportunity to learn from their mistakes.

The only thing I really have an issue with is how someone can receive a 14-day ban for an extreme behavior, learn from it and completely eliminate that behavior from their games, but still get permabanned because they later exhibited a completely different behavior that the did not understand was not okay.

Separate ladders of punishment would enable Riot to make the reform system more of a learning tool in addition to being able to remove toxic players from the game. Added bonus for this is that the punishments could be closer tailored to the different behaviors and it would be easier to implement early-intervention mechanisms in such a system.

It can't be called a punishment if you don't feel it.

If anything, I'd like their punishment for chronic rage quitters to be more severe.

No, the system is nice enough as it is. It should be harsher.
