What happens to the money you spent on league, does Riot just take it? I got banned and would like to know if people ever gotten their money back, or what?

You didn't buy anything in your account. You payed for RP that belongs to Riot to get acces to more stuff. You can't get RP or that stuff since they are tied to your account which is banned.

But honestly, no you get nothing back. There are terms that are agreed to upon joining and playing league. Those who are perma ban violated those terms, so why should they get reimbursed? Besides, there's also the, why don't I just try to get perma ban to get all my money back issue.

If you used PayPal, you can get all the money you spent in the last six months on League back, hassle-free. For the rest of it, just take them to court. Even a small claims court has standing enough to win you back your money, and in some states (like mine) you will be awarded up to 3x the amount of money in dispute, as a form of consumer protection for fraudulent business practices. It's also a very easy case to win as well, so long as you can provide documentation of all the charges in dispute.
