Can I chat ban myself?

I sometimes want to ban myself from chat because I have lately become too much of an @$$. I had an account before this one (and back then this one was my smurf account) that was in elo hell. I stopped playing on that account because my elo on this one is much better (I get matched with higher ranked players more often, and have even been matched with people in ranks that I've never been put with on my old account). That being said the thing that pushed me to stop using that account still affects me.

I left my old account because I started running into a lot of toxic people in every game in every game mode. I used to be a nicer player, and I would not say anything negative to anyone on my team or the enemy team unless they were toxic and instigated it (which used to be a rare thing). Then when I started running into all of the toxic players I had I started getting into the habit of being negative and aggressive myself.

Now I have been aggressive towards people even though I instigated it lately. I've been trying to break the habit, and have made progress, but it still happens too often. I had been chat banned before (I said I was a "nicer player" not "the nicest player"), and I did find that I did improve quite a bit from it.

So can I like chat ban myself to maybe break my habit?

I don't believe there is a definite way to chat ban yourself, but my tip is to unbind the chat key on your keyboard if you're that desperate.
