Bug Splat and Game Crashes

I have been a member of this community for a little over five years. I have been penalized for at least 12 times and gone through the penalty process, which for those of you not commiting any afks this is what happens. You get a message that "due to afk behaviour you have been placed in lower que." Then you must for five games endure a 20 minute time penalty before you are allowed to que for any new game except custom games. MY problem with this is ,of which i made a post of and it was removed (also made few people angry and people thought was a great idea), it doesnt take into account all problems with the game software or storms or internet problems. It basically says if you leave they accrue a number i guess its combinesd with reports of your afk etc and your dcs and also if it is ranked game now there is an automatic suspension (well penalty games) but when u reach the threshhold that this Script or software see as a problem then you will get thrown into this lower que. i have screenshots of its inadaquecies, I just finished three days straight in lower que games, two were because playing too late and passed out at keyboard (my Fault) and then today my team already ambushed other team got first blood with four players receiving ex assits from kill looked as though it was gonna be an easy win as we two more kills than them and just started laning phase. MY game crashed with it saying something was missing or corrupted in the game files (ALSO an interesting thing happened the PVP.net updater had stopped working prior to restarting the game and logging in). So when your game crashes what do you do? ANYONE BEULLER BEULLER. You have to exit the program to go through the patching process that reinstalls any missing files. Well when you exit and close the program and/or bypass this message by just closing the program it says" if you exit the game you will receive a penalty your team needs you etc. etc. So here is the first FLAW in this part of detecting AFK behaviour. 1. NUMER ONE OFFENDER Game crashes due to multitude of problems (usually RIOTs fault). In a ranked game you receive automatic lower ques.(I always receive 5 games of lower ques due to legitimate afks i,e,repeat offender) but also perceived AFKs. 2. POWER outage disconnect is still AFK. 3. You accidentally forget to turn off Windows update and computer restarts and updates Windows for like 10 minutes is AFK. THESE 3 reasons are why this automatic script /program of punishing players is extremely faulted!! RIOT must make the program more specific or have support personnel that can overhaul the problem case by case and undo the lower ques remotely.

Regaurdless of how it happens, be it power outage or intentionally leaving your keyboard, you are still no longer present to help your team, severely harming the power of the team.

Leavebuster already accounts for the accidental leaves, that's why you don't get banned after a single afk/leave. Consider them like sick days at work or school. Sure, they can be expended by taking "sick" days when you're not actually sick. But if you waste all your sick days when you're not sick, and then you do get sick, you're still in trouble.

If you're only disconnecting due to issues outside your control, you need to really make sure everything is fine before you start a game.

Problems with league constantly (and not something people have been reporting)? You probably should re-install league and play a couple of custom games to see if it's stable.

Power going out? Don't play during a lightning storm.

Having consistent internet problems? Call your ISP and get it fixed.

Forgot to turn off Windows Update? Well this should really happen just a single time, then you should turn the damn thing off before you play.

Regardless of the reason, your teammates don't deserve to suffer because you continue to join the game despite being aware of a possible problem. And you really should be aware of them by this point if they have been frequent enough to land you Leavebuster punishments.

ehh .. those technical problems don't happen all the time. Not enough to make you get 20 min leaver buster queues. In fact, most the time they won't even trigger the leaver buster penalty.

If the technical crashes don't happen that often, you should be able to "reform" and get a leaver buster notification saying that you have improved your behavior and considered reform. When those technical crashes happen, you start over from 5 minute queues.

All this means you are probably AFKing in alot more games than you claim to be.

Not sure where you are getting your info from, but the system does in fact take into account things like personal problems, thunderstorms etc. this is why you never get a leave buster on your account the first time you leave a game. In fact I've left quite a few games because of that, or internet problems. The only difference is that when it does happen to me, I stop playing, and either try to solve the problem, or wait till the problem is sorted (if it's out of my control)

I've had lag problems, emergencies, and DDoS. But again I've never needed to jump into another games when I could. I tried to wait and checked in Custom games to see if my ping was ok, and what not. And yet I've never once got hit by Leavebuster!

It seems to me like you just jump into your next game after the game you left (whether it was your fault or not) and made like everything was all better! Then of course when you do get hit by leave buster. You need to play X amount of games to actually get back into normal queue.

So the point being is that you are leaving or games too often. Whether it's your fault or not is irrelevant. Either sort out the problem if you can, or wait till the problem is solved.
