I have been banned 18 times, and it keeps going. I need some love from Riot.

Mute me at start·8/24/2016, 8:03:54 PM·6 votes·2,498 views

I've been banned literally 18 times currently, even though I've been trying to improve my behaviour I'm a kind of a person who can't really deal with tilt easily and then says something but feels bad for it and says "sorry" at the end. Well, my accounts have had names like "mute me at start <this one>", "hi im too toxic" and even more kind of them. After being banned for like 10th time in a row, I had opened a ticket to riot asking them to give me a chat restriction for an unlimited amount of games, or anything for a new account.

They refused giving me useless advices, to mute /all chat and more of this.. I wish I could disable my chat on my own so I can't flame and not to get permbanned.

I am a toxic person and I gotta admit it, but I've been trying to improve that for a long time, but at this point I have literally no idea what to do.

I've been forced to create new accounts <my main league is diamond> and just play on them, destroy other people players' games because I'm better than them, and just to start it all over again.

It's not like I'm constantly flaming and saying weird things like "Get cancer" all the time. I just can't deal with TILT sometimes. I'm already paranoid about being permbanned again, and I've even created 3 accounts in a row <each had 25 games chat restricton already> in case I get permbanned.

I already know all of my previous accounts are lost, and I don't even want them back - I just want to have my current ones forever without being worried about getting restricted again.

I hope riot ever reads that statement, and if I can actually have a wish - I want to be given the opportunity to disable my chat permamently, because I don't want to be toxic but I can't just stop this by myself, even tho I've been trying for like 8 months currently.

Have a nice day everyone.

First thing: I greatly admire your self-awareness. *fist bump

Second: I don't work directly with any League features folks so I'm not sure about the details or implications behind self-banning from chat... but after some thought, I'd like to encourage you to try and see it from a different perspective. I mean, if I were trying to cut myself off from sugary soda drinks, I wouldn't expect grocery stores to do away with them to prevent me from being able to purchase, right? I know the comparison isn't perfect, but it's just an example :]

Third: Off the top of my head, some things that aren't absolute solutions but might help you curb your penchant for toxic chat~ -- Scale down the chat box as much as possible on your UI. -- Put a post it note over the chat box! -- If you have a fancy shmancy keyboard, unbind the nonessential gameplay keys so you can't write coherently XD -- Yell at your screen instead of typing things out. -- Play with a friend and use voice comms to vent and laugh about terrible situations together. [Sorry if these aren't entirely helpful. But I've personally used the post it note option to avoid reading unpleasant things and I've appreciated it!]

Fourth: I SUPER admire your self-awareness. And the fact that you are reaching out for assistance. Seriously. Kudos!

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. At least you're trying...that's more than can be said for almost everyone else here. I have a friend like you. A really good guy, but he can't not get tilted. Good luck.

Your behavior is your responsibility, not Riot's. You need to learn to identify when you're tilting and then stop playing. Go do something else. It's not Riot's responsibility to enable you to play through tilt.

You say you're trying, but it sounds like you need to dig deeper. Figure out why you have this problem and then move on to working out how you can address it permanently. The suggestions given are valid. If it's ally chat that tilts you, then mute your team at the start of each game. If it's enemy chat, just disable all chat in the settings. If it's your own or other's game play, then you need to do something so you just don't type. A good suggestion to help break that habit is to bind the chat to a random inconvenient key.

Nobody is 'forcing' all these new accounts on you but yourself.

i feel you, and i really wish they do something about it. its a huge punish after years of work on one account then you get a perm ban instead of perm ban from chat.item 3070 item 3070

If you can program your keyboard, bind a different key as Enter. Maybe "~"? It's much harder to type without thinking when you change the required actions.

Maybe you could also drag the chat box low enough that you can't see what you're typing, but can still read chat. If you're a good typist that won't help, though...

There's probably a better solution somewhere. I'll keep thinking.
