Like our criminal justice system the punishment method of this game is flawed. We don't focus enough on rehabilitation or reformation. Its been a year and a half since i received my permanent ban on an account. Though questions have been raised about the merit of this ban . That is not what this post is about. I feel as though accounts should be given a chance at redemption. The account that got banned did so during a time when riot was a little over zealous on punishing customers. The reason i make this post is to inquire about a time period to prove that one has matured and is worth of redemption. I have devoted 10 years to playing this game. The account that was banned contained thousands of hours and dozens of skins all either purchased or earned. As a loyal customer who watches lcs every weekend cheers for his favorite team and has been playing the game for over a decade. I hope you all can rethink the length of permanent bans or figure out a way to allow the redemption i feel i deserve. It will take me years to get back what i earn on that account. Not to mention the money i spent on it that i cant justify in my mind spending again.

please think about it.

I feel as though accounts should be given a chance at redemption.

They are.

For standard toxicity, players are given 3 or 4 chances to reform after a 10 game chat restriction, a 25 game chat restriction, and a 14 day suspension. For zero-tolerance behavior (such as racism, homophobia, or inciting self-harm) you are given 1 chance to reform after receiving a 14 day suspension. For intentional feeding, griefing, and AFKing, players are generally given 1 chance after a 14 day suspension.

Those are your chances to reform, a permanent suspension is the last straw. There has to be serious consequences for repeat or severe offenders, Riot has to draw the line somewhere.

We're made fully aware of the status of our accounts and it's our responsibility to adhere to the rules we agreed to in the ToU and the Summoner's Code.

The account that got banned did so during a time when riot was a little over zealous on punishing customers.

The only time this could have happened was during the Tribunal where players directed what punishments were given out.

The current system is based off of the now-removed Tribunal, Riot doesn't hand pick anyone to be punished and everyone is treated equally.

The account that was banned contained thousands of hours and dozens of skins all either purchased or earned. As mentioned above, you are given multiple chances to reform. Whether you've spent one dollar or a million dollars, we're all subject to the same rules and no amount of money or time spent should make you exempt from them.

Riot gives you three chances to rehabilitate. When you make it clear you won't rehabilitate, Riot says ENOUGH and kicks you out of League.

Likewise, the criminal justice system does not have the time, money, or resources to hold your hand for 100+ chances. You get your chances, and if you blew them, that's your fault.

First of all, Rito very rarely participate in this sub-board so the chance of you getting a response on official Rito-er is nill. Your best chance is to make your plea to support. https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

As for discussion points, if your account got banned 1.5 years ago, that was well after the inception of the IFS and the 4-tier (2-tier for ZT) punishment ladder we have today. I'm not sure what you based your theory of that period when Rito is more zealous on punishing people. I'd like to see your proof or logic on that one. What got you banned 1.5 years ago by the IFS will get you banned today. Nothing has changed. You had your 4 chances (2 with ZT). Why should you be given even more chances now? Just because you spent so much on the account in term of time and money? It would devalued the weight of a permanent ban. You have your current account now. Rito is allowing you to keep it. That is your rehabilitation and reformation.

They tried a redemption for permaban players, it failed horribly. They are once again currently trying one. That said, I have never once understood the whole concept of expecting society to coddle and make sure you don't act like an entitled brat. I'm all for second chances, but at the point where you end up getting permabanned, it isn't your second chance, or even your third, with the current system it is your fourth or more, and with the old system, it was even more.

If you got banned 1.5 years ago you cant have spend 10 years on the account. The game hasn't been out that long.
