I was chat restricted unfairly

One game I instalocked because I was not in the mood to play the "bitch" role that my team needed (yes I was a dick, no need to point it out). During the game my team flamed and harassed me and even trolled and fed intentionally. While defending myself (not being toxic at all) I called a player bad (this only happened once). My team convinced the enemy to report me and I got chat restricted for 10 games.

So of course I'm mad, I did nothing wrong apart from being a dick when instalocking and because of Riot's automatic report system I got chat restricted. I sent Riot a ticket, around 12 hours later someone responds with a chat log from a few months ago back when I was toxic, and their bots concluded that since I was toxic around 3 months ago I was toxic in the recent game where I got reported.

What?

Riot your system is messed up, please fix it. I'm already halfway through my 10 games, by the time the next reply with the chat log comes my punishment will be done. I will send the chat logs of the actual game when I get them.

Yeah the second game I was a bit toxic but this happens once every 10+ games. I don't think just one game in ages is enough for a chat restriction.

Though I'm not going to say you did or did not deserve the restriction since I can't see the chat logs yet, I will say at least one thing (that may or may not apply to your situation).

Insulting them back is not defending yourself, it's retailiating. An action that would be closer to defending yourself would be to mute the players that you don't want to see the chat anymore. No matter how many reports they get others to stack on you, the system doesn't judge based on what they said. It only judges based off what you said, because what you say is completely within your control.

While you are not overtly toxic...... you are negative and combative leading to a very negative experience for other players. This deserves a chat restriction.

MUTE. REPORT. MOVE ON.

There is no reason to engage with combative people and that Is the real problem you seem to have. Don't respond to a negative player ignore them. If it is bad enough you think you need to respond then just MUTE REPORT and MOVE ON.

There is nothing wrong with chatting with your team as long as you stay positive.....

When your post starts with "I only did X", there really isn't any need for any further investigation. Don't do X, you'll be fine.

Just ask for your account to be closed and call your bank/paypal to ge ta refund. Game is absolutely pointless without a legitimate ranking system.

Sorry, friend ONE game did not get you restricted in this instance.

Everyone is going to have to get used to the fact the prolonged negative Chat along with other thing are going to warrant a punishment.

Also, I hate to point out that you are from OCE and not NA so, some rules may or may not apply. Please understand while I like other regions posting here, we may not have the exact same rules.

I think your best bet is to ask the people in your own area. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh and I wish you luck :)
