Pass a suspension to everyone in the match.

So last night I was playing league in normals. Since it's normals I lock in jungle kha after everyone locks in mid and everything else. No big deal right? Oh look it turns out I have a 16 year old on my team that picks jungle shaco with 2 seconds left on his timer, and instantly starts complaining about picks. He starts trash talking myself and our team right off the bat and was attempting to ruin my jungle. When he found out he failed at playing the game and couldn't properly smite minions away from me before i could isolate finish them he started allchating the other team all of our teams mates locations/movement/ward placements/ and would casually go around and help them jungle.

The other team was clearly desperate for the win and was going along with everything he was telling them and he was basically a member of their team and the match was 4v6.

So they are trash talking myself and my team the entire time (personal attacks out of their own insecurities as well as attacks on peoples families and lives.) you know the typical cool kid internet league of legends normal match stuff, and I give it right back to them after our team of 4 starts showing that we aren't going to just let them be handed a win. Then all of a sudden they are offended by trash talk and its not cool.

The game goes on and on and I tell my team look this game is winnable and we are going to win it just keep doing the heim lane pushes and make them fight us out of cockiness without their entire team and since they all have to reply to one comment anyone says in all chat, I keep baiting them into sitting around and typing instead of playing while i farmed.

We end up just destroying them end game and so we give them the trash talk right back and win in this disgusting display of a match.

So basically they are upset after trash talking for 30 minutes and losing and then even more upset i decided to give them their trash talk back to them and they all report and oh look at that I log in the next day and I'm not allowed to play or use the chat system.

So if that is the case for me I want everyone in that match on suspension.

Thanks.

But it's okay I'm not mad. I find this a fun story of getting suspended after playing what a regular match of league of legends is now a days.

and for the sad little Shaco. THE JOKES ON YOUUUUUUU. You failed to make our team lose as hard as you tried.[zombie-brand-clap]

Being an asshole because others are assholes doesn't excuse your behavior.

You mention that the Shaco in your story is a "16 year old" which, of course, based upon the tone of your entire post suggests your older than that... so then I must ask, don't you know that two wrongs don't make a right?

It sounds like the guy was a classic douche, but retaliating or being otherwise inflammatory does nothing to help matters and I'm sure if I saw your chat logs from that game I would be further proven correct. If your account was suspended (and not just chat restricted) that would imply that you have demonstrated a history of behavior that is unacceptable.

While they deserved it, the mute button would've worked better than trash talking back :P

You are judged for your actions and your actions alone, and someone else behaving poorly doesn't excuse your own poor behavior. You can defend yourself so long as it's done in a neutral or positive manner, but the moment that you start harassing them back is when it's no longer you defending yourself, it's just you being a jerk. From Understanding the Tribunal:

4) That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? a) I'll keep this one simple: retaliation isn't OK. Reacting to a toxic player by being toxic just incites that player to be even worse--it also ruins the game for up to 8 other players. It is far, far worse to watch two people yelling at each other all game than it is to watch 1 player ranting into blank space. Almost everyone in the game can find someone out there that behaves worse than they do--but so what? Finding someone worse doesn't justify your behavior or justify retaliation. We expect more out of our players. What players often don't realize is... those other players in your game that you thought were worse? Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on. If you retaliate, both of you will be banned. It's really that simple.

As for why you received a punishment it's because you have a history of intentionally acting up across multiple games and this game was just the straw that broke the camels back. Also, before you ask, yes the automated system is based on what the players deem both appropriate and inappropriate.
