Occasionally I've played with other players that I've friended just to say a "thank you." Sometimes they don't accept the friend invite. I know that the honor system exists for this purpose, but it would be nice to be able to message these people and send a "thanks for being awesome dude."

If riot implemented a msg system sadly it would mostly be used for toxic players to send a toxic msg to another player.
I also wish this was a thing. So many games I've played with very nice people but they dont accept friend request so I cant tell if they are on or chat with them at all
