funneling reported players into their own category in ranked

just an idea. tried searching it up and couldnt find anything on the topic really so here we are.

so we all get those players that afk, feeds, trolls, etc. and obviously those that due their due diligence to report those negative players of the LoL community, i propose that the devs make some sorta "player filter". what do you mean player filter you say? lets say you get a feeder/bad player; if ENOUGH reports of that behavior for THAT player is registered in the system; that player is THEN put into a queue pool of players with similar reports. same thing with afks. you got someone that loves to AFK in ranked games?(with less reports needed as this is a more serious conscious effort offense), well guess what you get to play with other players that have a few AFK in ranked as well! karma.

ONLY when you play games where you are not reported(justifiably and for a unknown disclosed amount of games to fix this deficiency) do you get placed back into the "good player" gene pool.

i personally think this is a good start to separate those that are honestly trying to play ranked and climb andthose that got lucky, boosted, etc. and more or less gate keep for a game.

discuss problems you can think of. lets get some devs on working on a algorithm for this kinda thing.

Well, Riot has already stated that they're against ideas like this. Broadly speaking, this is a Prisoner's Island concept, and they did do an Ask Riot post about it;

Prisoner’s island design doesn’t work for League for two major reasons:

Reason One: We believe in a real shot at reform for unsportsmanlike players

...

Reason Two: Prisoner’s island is a truly awful experience for the “prisoners” in more ways than one

Quoted the gist of the post; basically, Prisoner's Island would just lump toxic players in amongst other toxic players, both engendering them to toxicity (making it harder for them to reform) as well as generally making matches for them in particular awful, both for the toxicity and for the longer queue times.

You ate not the first person to think up Prisoner's Island. Get them out of the game, not in their own sandbox.

Everyone gets reported for various reasons. Hell, some players I've seen say they literally just report everyone after game just hoping someone broke a rule lol. Its a bad thing to go off of, imo. Also, prisoner's island concepts are never going to happen for Rito. They do no good for the person who messed up and broke a rule. Theres less desire to reform when youre stuck with toxic people every game. It only makes things worse, I guess.

We have this in the ranked system. Your rank determines how good/bad the players are that you get paired with.

This is already in every queue. Everyone AFK's whenever they want basically without punishment.

If your power goes out multiple times, you have to take your Uncle to the emergency room in the same day then maybe you'll get low priority queue.

Alternately, if you rage quit 4 or 5 games / day maybe you'll be put in low priority queue who knows.

I would be all for a more strict AFK enforcement system.

Just because you are reported for whatever reason does not mean those reports are valid. People will report other people for virtually any reason or no reason at all. Putting people in Prisoner's Island just because they were reported, but not verified is a terrible idea. It unfairly punished innocence people who just happened to get stomped in lane or having a bad game and get reported for "trolling" or "inting" and get put with real trollers/inters. Now the valid/verification part is important. If someone is verified to be trolling/inting, they will be hit with a 14-day ban on the first offense and perma on the 2nd offense. Why the need for Prisoner's Island if there is already a harsh punishment if the reports are verified? If the reports are not verified, that means they are innocence so why the need for Prison's Island if someone got falsely reported?

Under your system, every time I want to play say MF support but the adc/team demand I play braum supp and threaten me with report of troll/grief/int the entire range, I either have to play whatever the hell they want or risk going to Prisoner's Island? Your idea gives the real trolls incredible power to punish innocence people with their unlimited reporting power.
