Toxic Players and Spam Pinging

I understand that toxic players are inevitable, and that the pinging system in LoL is fundamental to the way teams must work to successfully communicate objectives and win games. However, and too often, there is one person who is acting up and obnoxiously flaming in chat and spam pinging mia on corpses (toxic spam pings that have no objective value). I usually try to keep my team un-muted, and I usually don't have a problem when muting people is necessary, but it starts to feel very ridiculous and distracting when the troubled person I've muted continuously spam pings on top of me. I also understand that the option to remove pings (visual and audio) would have a negative impact on the game, but I believe something should be done about this; something beyond simply having the ability to report players after the fact. I prefer not to mute pings (and I know the visual cannot be disabled), so it can become very difficult when I am trying to focus on a play or a fight while toxic teammates spam ping MIA question marks on me. It is genuinely distracting, and once it starts causing me to make mistakes and give up leads or fall behind, the 30+ minute match becomes unbearable. These are usually the same players who die once in lane, stop trying and lightly feed, while throwing up surrender votes at every opportunity. I'd at least like for something to be done so they wouldn't bother me with spam pings. Like I mentioned, I don't think introducing an option to disable pings would be the correct solution, but I believe there should be some thought toward a solution from the development team.

I experienced this exact same thing for the first time recently, except they did the ping that just marks a location, so no one could tell who it was (but in reality we all kind of knew). I agree, something should be done. I don't know what or how, but something.

How fucking hard is it to make muting someone also mute the ping being received from the muted player? You desire no communication with them, which means you do not value their input and it only serves to tilt you. At this point, Riot saying "well, you need to still be ping spammed at will" is ridiculous. Pathetic.

Have to mute them, and turn off sound, I was playing Vainglory, a mobile app as well recently players were being toxic spamming pings I reported them because the idiot kept following me around and intentionally causing grief making the game making the game a 1v3 he got banned the next day.

League needs to roll back the mute ping option so when players are muted so are pings.

Lower the volume on all pings to where you can just hear it but it isn't shrill at all. You should always play this way no matter what, loud shrill ping sounds raise tension and make you play worse, so does the default in game music play relaxing music instead.

If your ping volume is low troll pings won't be shrill in your ears and tilt you.
