Bring back the tribunal

So today I got a 14 day suspension due to flaming others, now I by no means am going to justify my behavior. It was provoked by a kat and twitch flaming me for the stupidest things and I should have just muted them. I didn't however, I thought they might stop flaming and actually throw some needed info out on the chat. They didn't and I cracked.

My real issue isn't that I got suspended, it's how I did. Two hyper toxic players report me and I get instantly punished and nothing comes of my report I submitted about them. I usually don't even talk in games nowadays because the atmosphere can be so toxic and to be honest, I'm sensitive to it. I have been chat restricted in the past and learned from my mistakes for the most part, but I cracked on this one game and now I don't get to play for two weeks yet these people who started and kept prodding at this flame war got away unscathed.

Anyway I guess my point is I am salty and automated systems that handle something like somebodies entire league account are unreliable and don't take into the account of what the entire game was like. I deserved punishment but 2 weeks of no league for one bad game after weeks of being a good boy seems harsh.

what you need isn't the tribunal.

what you need is better visibility of the behavioral system, where you get to know your reports are doing something, and you also know when your next punishment is coming (hint: it didn't come from 1 game)

Riot is putting behavioral visibility on a pretty high priority, though it'll definitely be after the new client is released.

That being said, your next punishment is a permaban. Don't say you weren't warned.

finally, group reports mean the same thing as 1 report. All it does is flag to system to check for toxicity, if there isn't one then the report is counted as a false report. If there is toxicity, it'll put a ding to your toxicity counter. when you get enough toxic counters over a certain period of time (usually short), then you'll get punished.

thus there actually is no reason to ask for reports. You also don't need to defend yourself for others saying they need to report you if you didn't do anything wrong.

I dunno why u believe that Tribunal would be better. People would still see your chat and vote you to be punished. You do realize that YOU DONT GET to vote on your own tribunal case?

People have a big problem grasping this concept. You are on a track. A punishment track. You move forward at your own speed. Others move forward at a speed depending on severity AND frequency of toxicity. You don't get punished at the same time nor do you get the same punishment.

Those people moved along the track. Where they are on the track now is not your concern. Maybe they got punished, maybe not. Maybe they only got 10 game chat restrictions. You don't know. You will never know. The tribunal won't fix that.

Greetings.

If you get a 2 week ban, you were either extremely toxic, or have been chat retricted before. You say you learned from your mistakes, but even these small outbursts should not happen.

You are only considered reformed if you stop flaming completely. Even if you'd only flame once a month, that would eventually be enough to get a permanent ban.

You know that what you did was wrong, and you know that muting would've been the right thing to do, but you actually need to act right.

I really hope that this won't happen again, because if you flame again after this punishment, you'll have to face a permanent suspension :/
