Alright. SO been going through a battle here with riot support staff about my perma banned account. I dont give a fuck about the account. i can make a new one. What i do care about is the estimated $600-$900 Ive spent over 3-4 years of playing. Now they refuse and or keep saying they wont unban the account and can not transfer the content which ive paid for. Its lost content.

I tend to disagree heavily with that. I get they dont do refunds and will not unban it. Cool whatever. But a TRANSFER is not a refund or a unban. They arent losing anything and im not gaining anything. Just want what i have paid for. My thinking..... The content which i have paid for is now my property. They have to some how find a way to give me what i paid for. whether it be transferring everything over or loading a account with that much RP and i will buy it from the shop again.

Money and goods were exchanged. That is a sale. Its the same thing as if you buy a tv, radio, car, golf clubs, anything. You hand a merchant(RIOT) money. They give you a item(CONTENT). The merchant cant keep the item and the money. That is stealing,robbery,extortion, etc. The account is able to banned cause its free... But when you pay for something is it now yours.

Am i wrong to think they should give me my content here????

You are wrong. The was no exchange of goods. You simply unlocked esthetic perks for that account. And the account was never yours in the first place. Riot lend it to you once you created it and accepted to let you use that account as long as you respected and aggreed to the ToS. Which you did everytime a new patch came out.

yea you are wrong, any scenario like this the company will have their ass covered Garen teed in their Terms of service that nobody reads. It probably says somewhere in there that they can ban you whenever they want for any reason and anything on the account is not your property so they owe you nothing. or along those lines at least.

I take it you never learned about the concept of renting. Would you pay for a stay at a hotel and then wonder why you don't own the room?

Well it's definitely not extortion. Extortion is obtaining money through threats, example, a gang threatening to bust up your store if you don't pay them monthly. Anyways, take it to court. I'm sure their lawyers are hungry for an easy win against an uneducated asshat that can't even play a game without getting a ban.

Reading the ToS you mindlessly click "Accept" on every patch might do you some good before you begin claiming a legal fight.

This model is more akin to renting stuff as long as you don't break the place's rules, in your case, you were kicked out because you shat on the hallway.

This is part of the reason i don't buy anything from riot anymore :D. My account has never been suspended. But ever since i found this info out. I now know not to spend my money on the game!! Just my opinion.
