being held hostage in game

just played a game where the main carry on our team was unwilling to close out the game, and just wanted to farm (nasus). we're ahead significantly, but our other teammates aren't able to close out, especially since the enemy seemed to be 'in' on it, and just ignored the nasus and kept trying to kill me and my team mates.

the game started fairly slowly, but several ganks and plays made across the map later, we had a commanding lead, and could probably close out around the 20-25 minute mark. but then the nasus decides not to help out the team, and instead, decides to farm, and farm only.

so now im stuck. nasus is on a lane getting huge, but unwilling to finish the game, just pressing b when he arrives at the enemy base. the other enemies are hunting the other 4 of us, and soon another 2 of our teammates 'join' the nasus and decided to just sit around, farm, and die in 1v5 fights. they keep pressing the surrender button, but me and my friend (new to this game mind you) don't want to accept surrender.

so our options are to quit the game / afk and get reported, or just join everyone else and just farm for who knows how long.

the game ended after 45 minutes (thank god for the enemy realising how frustrated me and my friend were and surrendered), and im here thinking that i don't have much time to game nowadays since im a new dad, and 'giving in' to a bunch of trolls just doesn't feel right. does this mean i just shouldn't play SR anymore? i reported them, but im sure the 3 of them probably reported me back, just because 3 > 2. so... any ideas? furthermore, i need to explain to my new friend that this happens from time to time.

im not sure what type of feedback im expecting, and i really don't know the proper solution but i suppose this means i can only play late game hyper carries to avoid this situation!?

also, is riot able to team up with other game developers so that people banned on one game get banned across multiple platforms? this seems like a good way to reduce toxicity in all games if the punishment was a bit more severe....

You're not being held hostage if you are shutting down attempts to end the game.

It doesn't matter if you get 1 or 9 reports when they are false.

Also, you can't hold a game hostage if not both teams are fucking around. If someone does shit like that the game will either end up being lost as death timers get higher and there also is catch up gold and exp, or you can just use your own lead to finish.
