Track of a punishment from the tribunal

Hello there.

there is something that i just had in mind because i am keeping reporting players with negative attitude, toxic behavior and alot of staff witch are leading to bad expiriences and looses in the game. So There are somethings in the report system that are missing. I TOTALY am not saying to make any changes but you must think about adding a possibility for reporting a player who refuses to comunicate and cooperate with the team. Not small precentage of the bad expiriences in the game are because if of that behavior. Also i know there are alot of reports that are reviewed or are waiting to be reviewed. So is there any way to keep track of the progress of the a specific report and its status. Also is there a way to help the people who are reviewing the reports so they can spend more time for that because it really is a bad situation in the low divisions in witch I am.

Thx in advance.

It's unlikely that we'll ever be able to track reports against specific players to see if anything happens to them later on. The action taken on an account is generally considered information kept between Riot and the account owner.

That said, Riot has mentioned that they're looking into ways to make the value of reporting players more noticeable. Perhaps this could be in the form of a weekly or monthly report to show how many reports we've made that were flagged with negative behavior, perhaps it could just be a percentage of reports you make that are verified, or maybe it could show a count of number of players you reported that received a punishment in that time. Of course none of this is guaranteed, as these are just ideas I've seen thrown around on the boards by players in the past. But we do know that Riot is considering ways to give more feedback to players about the reports they submit.

The closest thing you'll likely be able to do is check their Match History and OP.GG and notice their immediate halting of games being played. I know it's borderline against the rules for "naming and shaming," (mods feel free to delete this post if you feel it violates the rules) however I'll give you an example:

https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=autismemer

This summoner had both Autism and Memer in their name. Right off the bat it draws attention to itself. They proceeded to be beyond toxic in several games, to the point where they were added to my VERY short /ignore list. Between spam pings the entire game, intentionally feeding, and telling every person to "KYS" in chat, it was extremely disturbing to see a human being act in such a way. What was even more disturbing was even without seeing their chat, it was very clear they were ruining the experience for everyone else in the game, as you could easily see the frustration it led to from all other players, and they were certainly reported very frequently for their behavior. This summoner has not played a game in...6 months? At least since Season 6, and they had 0 games before that, so it was very clear it wasn't their first time doing this.

As for helping reviewing reports, the community-based Tribunal hasn't been around for a while, and I don't foresee it coming back for a long time. It's definitely frustrating dealing with players that are overly toxic, especially when they refuse to communicate with the team and take a "my way or the highway" sort of attitude in a team game. The best think you can do for the community is report the toxic players to help prevent us from running into them in and ruining our games in the future. If they're punished by the Instant Feedback System, you'll get a notification letting you know they were punished. Usually the system is pretty good at weening out those who are racist, sexist, etc. fairly quickly. If they aren't punished immediately, they will likely be reviewed very quickly and judgment will be dealt. You'll never truly know their punishment unless they tell you, as it is reserved for them and them alone, however rest assured that reports do get heard. You'll find a ton of posts here on the forums where people beg to be unbanned for their toxicity, post the chat logs, and the community overwhelming assures them they do not want them to play this game - so the system is at least working to some degree!

Also, you're always welcome to put in a Support Ticket if you feel that you've been truly wronged, and can provide screenshots as well as any other proof you'd like in there to help out. Make sure to use the Mute button and ignore the more toxic individuals - simply report them after the game and be sure to avoid bringing yourself down to their level as it will only serve to bite you in the future. Hope this helps, best of luck to you!
