Why do the "toxic" get suspended but the trolls and feeders go free?

I love playing League, its a great way for me and old friends to connect when we don't have work. See but i have this one problem in slue of the new ranked season a lot of people had their MMR drop tremendously some people going from gold to bronze even. Now its not the drop that is necessarily bad its the fact that within that hole called Bronze there is a tremendous amount of trolls feeders etc. Now when i enter a game i strive to win like any competitive sport I've ever played, i do also look to have fun while playing, but i cant if there is players intentionally feeding or entering ques saying mid or feed or autolocking then feeding or getting into game and leaving. Now see in sports like football or basketball, if a player for instance isnt making all the best shots he's gonna get put on the bench, or if a offensive line lets a linebacker sack the quarter back people on the team start to get angry that's with anyone who is honestly trying to compete. So my question is why would you suspend the people who have an honest reason to get angry, over suspending "benching" the kids who make the game not worth playing, when all they do is tilt the game for the other team?

Legit answer, because "trolling" is such a broad term, that trying to punish people sololy on that is impossible. Some people think having a bad game is trolling, others spin tales and lie to say that one person is trolling when they might be, and one wayward case of such isn't enough to get banned.

well how bout this you are first pick in a que, and with dynamic ques being down you get a choice of what role you want to play right. So you go ahead after you make your bans you call top and lock in say Shen. Well now its your 3rd picks turn to pick but in the start of champ select he says he wants top and hes adamant hes gonna get it so he auto locks Darius. This makes you a little angry but you comply jungle is already picked so you decide fine for the team i'll go Shen support. Well your last pick wanted Shen and now hes pissed because you took "his" champ, so what does he do he auto locks a support. Now you are playing with an auto locked Darius top, whomever your jungle is, a mid, you being Shen bot with an auto locked braum. Doesn't this make you angry at least in the slightest bit. Now you don't want to dodge because that costs lp, a lot less then a loss but you would also have to wait to join another que just because your teammates couldn't comply with champ select. Tell me how nobody would get angry by this.

That is more then fair, and that happens, and it makes me REALLY want the dynamic queue back because you didn't have these problems, that being said yeah, it is annoying, but one case of that isn't enough to get someone banned nor should it. Let's be honest, we have all been that guy at one time or another, and at times, have even done it by accident, should we all get banned then?

What if that is that person's first offense of ever doing it after having it done to him the last five games before hand, should he instantly get banned?

See the problem i have with that though is when i get reported for verbal abuse they are able to pull up my whole chat log from the game. So why is it you cant see that a player was say 0/5 before 10 minutes. Plus if you are able to get the chat logs from the game shouldn't you also be able to get the chat logs from champion select, where you can be like oh this player auto locked after saying top or feed even after top was picked and called?

With their current tech, no they can't get the chat from the client because the client works differently than the game itself. This is a tech and privacy issue being that having the ability to take chat from the client would also mean taking chat from friend conversations and whatnot. (I assume they are fixing this in the client update being worked on, but until that is released don't expect any major changes to the way the client functions)

Yes, I do believe this function would help and I am in no way disagreeing. I am just stating facts about what is going on.

That does nothing, I've been keeping track of some players that have blatantly and admittedly trolled, fed, or afk'd

It does plenty, a lot of people can attest to the instant feedback system, just because your report isn't sending someone to hell doesn't mean it does nothing.

Every game i report anyone who trolls or feeds, but 9 times out of 10 a couple games later there they are again.

Stop reporting people that feed, feeding is not against rules, it just make your reports less valuable. So once u report real troll, nothing will happen as your report will be discarded.

The more times you report the less value it holds.

The phrase "Everyone is an asshole except for me" comes to mind. Chances are they aren't the problem but you are, or at the very least you provoke it to get worse.

I mean i am definitely an asshole at times i can attest for that. On the other hand though i'm a really chill guy until i lose like 4 games in a row to feeders and trolls then i start to get angry and people hear it. Like i said in the description in any other sport the people getting mad -- for good reason -- are not the ones getting suspended or benched its the people causing the anger that get the boot. So wouldn't you think if people who intentionally fed and or trolled got the boot more often or at least a suspension from ranked ques or even pvp ques, players like I who strive to win their games would be less angry? Saying this I'm not a person to give up in my games i never hit yes when it comes to a surrender vote no matter what the situation. I find that some games that i've been reported yea i was a little toxic, but when your teamates finally start listening to your "toxicity" i find you can usually turn a game around. Not all leaders are gonna give you everything on a silver platter. You know?

Chances are pretty good what you think a feeder or trolling are, and what Riot considers feeding and trolling are different.

When I or them think feeding, we think someone intentionally handing themselves to the enemy, getting caught out, or dieing a lot does not count as feeding, sometimes people just have shitty games and there brain isn't kicking in when it should. I have seen people scream feeder at me for going 0/3 in lane, when honestly I was just on tilt, and verbally harassing me or accusing me of breaking a rule only worsens it. I assume you aren't one for keeping to yourself about reporting others.

Trolling is some stupidly vague that it can be applied to such small things and such large things.

I experience the badness the community can throw every now and then, but I have gotten into the good habbit of just muting and reporting after if anyone changes my emotional state the slightest and leaving it at that. A normal player for whatever reason refuses to mute coming up with dumb reasons like "Oh but what if he wants to say something important?" no dummy you just want to provoke the fight longer and see where it goes.

When playing League it is very important to take a brief break after a tough match, clicking play again for some people can just be building up to a really tilted pissed off player, when getting out of the chair and going downstairs for a snack, or having a bathroom break can be healthy for you.

Because Rito doesnt care. I've made dozens of posts on this and Riot has never responded. As long as they can point to a positive chat and say "only 1% of games are toxic" they wont be taking any more action. They are about money, not actually providing an enjoyable experience. I'm going to enjoy the day this one game "company" loses its customers to something better and they go under.

Toxicity can be stopped, however if someone is trolling ro intentionally feeding they don't care if they get banned

I remember a time when there was an option to report "unskilled." It was honestly my favorite, deep down I realize it probably did nothing, but I had always secretly hoped to see someone go from like Gold 5 to Silver 3 because of a large amount of those reports.

I would agree with this but in my last game that caused me to write this post and gave me a 14 day suspension i had a rammus sit under turret getting hit by turret and the enemy nonchalantly attacking it doing minimal damage, and having my team and the other team applaud his efforts like he was running in the special Olympics. I being the only one seeing through the haze i call bronze vision, called him out on it, and it went from there my team flamed me out for flaming him out and the other team joined my team in flaming me out while saying they would report me. This is why when you get reported for verbal abuse and they show you your chat logs it ticks me off that they don't look at the whole thing then they would see oh yea he was getting angry but look at what everyone else is saying.

I just looked at that game and it looks to me that the Rammus is account sharing. Just by his key changes. Lots of people do this or smurf and not care and know what upsets players who are struggling. Sorry you were banned but he continues on it seems.

that's called a troll...but as far as game knowledge goes,, you are bronze for 1 reason..i recomend you watch trick2g ;)he wil shoow you the way of the gates

i spent all of last season and i actually got out of bronze went 4/6 in my provisionals and got placed bronze 5 for whatever reason

it;s about your mmr dude..i've lost like 7 games in my provisionals..and got p3..should be p1..but w/e..if you lose 1-2 games it doesn;t matter..the only way to really climb is to improve..untill you carry bronze..you deserve that elo

mmr was 1168 so not great but it dropped to 800 afterwards

man..doesn;t matter how many games you win..you can go on a lucky win streak..the thing is,, you will drop no matter what:)..you need to improve..when you manage to carry and know your own mistakes..than, you can climb;)

the climb isnt my problem even the game i got my suspension i carried the team to a win i just don't want to deal with the people who are just there to troll makes carrying that much harder and for someone who can squat quite a bit some of these players are almost as heavy as my max bench

Because people are more likely to report some one that is insulting them all game long that they are to report an intentional feeder. And according to these boards every loss is your own fault anyway for not carrying so I guess most people just move on to the next game after playing with a feeder.

someone who is mad and feeds might not intentionally feed although the result is the same as when he would intentionally feed. from his point of view he is trying for a 110% and everyone else is to blame he is legitimately somewhere along the lines still trying to win the game by doing all the wrong things like

feeding yelling no counter items towards a situation that calls for something different then a all ham build

well when im trolling i try to troll the enemy team like lure them into baits get them to rage stuff like that.

anyone who trolls their own team by all my accounts is simply toxic

because riot is garbage and rather pull up chat logs and say here this is why you are banned than actually take the time to go thru troll and afk reports. they are just like yup chat log has profanity 1 mark. most of their games have profanity ban . easy and simple than actually looking at games and seeing why the are profane and calling someone out. that requires time.. which costs money.
