Matchmaking trash

Hey all,

Played provisional games about a month ago. won 3 out of 10. 4 out of the 7 losses I had an afk after 7 min though. Not because we were losing. They just said they had to leave for some random reason or another. Anyway got placed B4. Made it to promos in first 2 days. I have now made it it promos 4 times in B3 but I am always paired with an afk or someone who dives in 1 on 5. I try to be polite and ask them to not do that next time. And how we as a team should approach but no one seems to care and they simply enjoy trolling other players. I have been matched with teammates who have all 20 matches in their history as losses. This seems to happen fairly often actually. I have been recording stats on my ranked games lately and it has come out to there being a 21% chance I have an afk on my team that leaves after the 4 min mark thus no possible remake. That then takes the 50% win rate we are all supposed to have down to half of 79%. This comes out to 39.5% win rate assuming you win half the games that you don't have an afk. Now this calculation is not taking into consideration intentional feeding (troll) accounts or just very ignorant players who are extremely bad. A 40% win rate is impossible to move up in ranked. People say if you deserve to be higher you should carry every game and make it out. Thats stupid and untrue. No matter how hard you carry. There are 5 people on the other team and you can not be everywhere on the map at once. I have now been moved back down to B4 twice after making it to B2 twice and being pushed back down. If I am not hyper carrying a game it is a loss. Even on losses I am the carry of my team. This should not happen if riot's matchmaking system is working correctly. There are many times I win lane and have 4 kills in lane by the 10 min mark. Too bad my mid, bot, and jungle have all died a combined total of 10 times to other lanes. I have tried other lanes and the same thing happens. Whatever lane I am not present in feeds hard. It's laughable watching some of their plays and to hear their explanations. Now this all could have been avoided if Riot had forgiven losses for afks in my provisionals. I play with friends all the time who are higher silver and gold. We play well together and win most games.

Now everyone says the keys to win more games is to blame yourself for losses. I've done this. I still do this.m What could I have done better. It has come to the point where the thing I could have done better is to not play league at all as nothing changes. It's laughable playing as I always win lane as well as the closest lane next to me as I end up playing two lanes at once. Yet everyone else on team just downloaded game so they don't know what they are doing. Riot needs to fix their matchmaking system to better account for afk games or troll accounts. There should be loss forgiveness if paired with someone who is an obvious troll account (over 15 of last 20 games being losses). Afk's on your team should give you reduced lp loss as it is highly unlikely you win a game 4 on 5. It's possible but probably closer to around 5% chance assuming so called afk didn't feed lane first before leaving.

Any insight on what champs I can singlehandedly hyper carry with and don't need team members at all? Any success you have had with telling teammates to hide under turret the whole game as to not feed? OR just any insight onto how riot actually thinks their matchmaking process is effective for every level of player? If I solo play against gold players and win frequently. Or am the only bronze player playing against golds and plats in groups (and still winning) one would think you'd move up.

Well when you can only potentially win 79% of games once afk is taken out. Probably another 10 % for trolls and ignorant players. you're left with a 35% win rate if you win half the games..

fix your system riot

If each slot that is not you has a 1/18 (5.5%) chance of being a troll, then your team will not have a troll [17/18]^4 (79.5%) of the time. That is to say, you will have a troll 20.4% of the time. This is using your numbers.

Then, the enemy team will not have a troll [17/18]^5 (75.1%) of the time. That is to say, they will have a troll 24.8% of the time. This favors you.

That gives approx 59.7% of games with no trolls, 15.3% with your team having a troll, 19.7% with the enemies having a troll, and 5% with both teams having a troll.

That means, 15.3 % automatic losses, 19.7% automatic wins, and a 50/50 split on 64.7% of games. 47.6% loss/52% win.

Exact math above the line, mild approximations below the line resulting is a loss of .4% accuracy.

What percent of your games had an AFK on the enemy team? Did you calculate that?

Your kill participation isn't good by any means (39.5% over 35 games), you never build Sightstone as support (you should always build sightstone before or immediately after your first rank up of your support item—item 3303 to item 3098 , etc.), your CSing is abysmal (3.9 CS/min across 24 games as non-support and non-jungle roles), and while you have some games with OK or good KDAs, you also have many with bad or terrible KDAs (consistency is key here).

You can't blame it all on your teammates. You need to work on helping your other lanes (TP ganking, roaming, etc. Just make sure you have good timing), providing vision (again, always build Sightstoneitem 2049 as support), CSing in lane over risking deaths to try for kills, and work on keeping consistent KDAs.

It's true. You'll climb if you're meant to. I carried myself out of Bronze 4 dealing with the same stuff you're dealing with now.

TLDR; but yes, carrying out of bronze is very possible and true. If you were really skilled, you would have no problem getting out of bronze. I'm not even that good, but I always get placed bronze and climb out within 50 games or so. I would climb out even faster if I was a better player, but I lack map awareness and my mechanics aren't exactly flawless.
