Seriously chat banned because I got flamed.

I was being spam pinged, called a t1 viewer so im useless (makes no sense but thats what my mid was saying) I was being flamed all game by my trundle, velkoz, and my support for being bad because i had a bad game and im the one that got a chat ban lol this literally makes me not wanna play the game and just uninstall because i had gotten a chat ban about a month or so ago and i JUST NOW this week had hit honor 1 checkpoint 1 and now thats ruined. also in the second game players were calling me trash when i was the only one fed on our team and couldnt carry them. I dont know why that game is in this chat ban because it was like 4 days ago.

Edit: in game 1 I was also being spammed in all chat to be reported by two of my team mates, which is reportable and they were not punished, I never got a notification after reporting them for all of their flaming and insulting.

Defending yourself is taking action to prevent harm. IRL this can mean fighting back, but the intent is to prevent further harm to yourself or another. In game this would translate to using the mute button.

Retaliation is attempting to harm another as you have been harmed. This is what happens when you say things like "u did nothing". The intent behind those words is not to stop the other person from attacking you, the intent is to harm them in kind.

Please keep this in mind when you say things like "I stood up for myself".

People who flame are not going to stop flaming when you prove them wrong. They don't care about facts, they just want to bash you. Reacting to them by arguing back only encourages them to say more, because it shows them that they can force you to acknowledge them if they keep doing it more. Also, trying to put them in their place for insulting you is absolutely toxic. Self defense is saying, "that's not true" or muting them. Retaliation or fighting back is not self-defense, not on the internet where you don't have to defend your honor.

Your assumption that you got punished for other people harassing you is ridiculous. The system doesn't punish you for other peoples' behavior. If it punished you then that is because it found something in your behavior to be unacceptable. It's possible that you got punished for being offensive with this comment:

you are responsible for your own actions and reactions no matter what others did to you. you may feel like you were defending yourself but you're also upsetting other people in the game who just want to play. they may consider it as harassment towards that player or negativity. were you overly toxic? no, that's why you got a chat restriction not a ban.

just remember that just because someone is being a jerk doesn't mean you can ruin the game for others too. mute if you're tempted to respond that frequently and report them.

No point in starting discussions like these on league forum dude. Everyone always agrees on the flamers and will only downvote the victim. Same thing back in 2010, same now. Nothing about the community has changed and never will.
