Bans and customers/or hackers

I Know I’ve seen a million Banned Help, or I didn’t do it threads. So this is another, but I might have an alternative to why this is happening. I just want to try and see from the users out there that have been banned for 3rd party programs. So I’ll give you an account of what happened and what I think may of happened to cause the loss or ban. I’m a detective of 8 years for my city so I tend to need to know things and to be honest would like to hear others accounts so that maybe we can solve this.

Seems that Riot is pretty strick on the banning for 3rd party and I say that because there seems to be many stories about being banned and not knowing why. But, to my story which makes very little if any sense. I’m pretty casual, I Play hard for 2-3 months then take a year off. That’s probably happened 3-4 times. This last break I took was over a year. I probably stopped in Feb 2015, and my next log in was June, 2016. In the mean time I’ve got a new computer so my old computer with client were long deleted, so when I logged in a few weeks ago I noticed that from April 28th until June 09th of 2016 someone was playing my account. I’m a white guy who only speaks English so when I saw that my rune page names were all in Chinese I assumed that my account was someone stolen. I didn’t think hard about it because really there didn’t seem to be much damage. The person probably played 30 games and there were only a few reports against the player. What strikes me as really odd is why was the account not played 12 months ago but just 2 months ago? I’ve had zero activity this year at all. Didn’t have the client downloaded. Absolutely nothing LoL related but someone all the sudden there was someone playing my account. Something also curious is that for example WOW will lock your account if at any time an IP tries logging into the account that isn’t yours and you will be required to recover it basically. I know this because any time I would log away from home it would happen, and it would happen every time. But nothing remotely similar for Riot, so that makes me wonder some things. Since I’m not alerted to activity on my account that isn’t from my home IP, but I’m responsible for the accounts PW and Login then how would I know if the breach happened on Riot’s end?

I know for a fact that I’ve never used a 3rd party program, I also know for a fact that someone had gained access to my account in April and May of 2016. I’ve not even thought about LoL From January 2015- May 2016. So how could my account all the sudden be hacked. My login and password are not on the internet, they aren’t on my computer. So how could this be? Well, quite possibly Riot may be the source of the leak, not saying intentional but if hackers have access to their servers then they can look for accounts that have no activity in lets say 12 months and then use those accounts to sell on their websites for whatever they sell for. Seems to me like that could be real lucrative. If there are 10 million dormant accounts from former players and every time one comes up 12 months, they take the credentials and sell them on their smurf account sites and all that for 20-50$ or whatever they sell for I don’t know. But it makes more logical sense that the leak is actually coming from riot and not me since I don’t store my account info on my computer, it’s essentially been destroyed a year ago. So how all the sudden after a year of inactivity is my account being used? Then whoever is using the account is using some 3rd party software and bam banned.
To attempt to figure out where my account was being logged into I was in contact with Riot and the behavior people and they refused to give any info. I sort of understand that they don’t want to give out specifics on how they are finding the accounts so they can avoid being found. But I simply just wanted the IP address of the logins to my account. Since Riot is blaming me for the 3rd party program and the breach of my login credentials then why won’t they give me the IP’s? That way I can do my own investigation into the matter so I can figure out how to protect myself. Unfortunate for me Riot is not in the business of letting me conduct my own investigation even though I’ve spent money and time they don’t see my money and time as valuable as their money and time. And then this leads me to think that maybe it’s someone at Riot that is giving away the info or even being the seller of these accounts. It just makes no sense how my info can be compromised all the sudden without me having any activity or access to the credentials on my end. Since Riot won’t give me the IP I’m hard pressed to think that they have something to do with this, either they are the source of the breach or they are the breach. My nature as a detective is to try to find out all angles, and I won’t stop. It may be a small account and not a big deal. But it’s my account, and I’m going to find out what’s going on.
So basically I ask that others that may have similar stories that they can’t figure out how they were banned or accounts were stolen to post. There has to be an explanation but Riots explanation that we all are using 3rd party programs without our knowledge or we gave away our account info and that’s the reason and it’s our faults, just doesn’t make sense. It’s not logical.

Riot employees are two faced lying little bastards. They're nasty filthy human beings and I've had nothing but hostile and offensive interactions with them both in game and through support emails.

Riot won't tell you why and what cause the problem. it only tells you, you are banned, and thats because its data shows you do use hacks. It doesn't even ask for video records or streams or anything which could prove your innocence. Riot is confident!!!! http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/6uz47BtM-thats-how-riot-game-support-reply-me
