Tribunal/report system is a complete fail.

Can somebody please explain to me how I have an account banned for 14 days due to having to put up with 50 minutes in game of a premade group of trolls shit talking me and I say one thing back because they pushed me to breaking point, as I'm sure anybody else would have. Yet I have screenshots of them threatening to rape my child and talking about how they fuck kids and being racist. Reported them straight away yet here we are a few weeks later and they're still unpunished and playing. Games fucking stupid when it comes to player punishment and needs some human attention instead of all being done by computer just to cater to over sensitive little kids who need an online safe space.

The punishment system works in tiers.

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day ban
Perm ban

Anything that can get you a chat restriction can earn you a 14 day ban or a perm ban. Extreme cases of toxicity (Death threats, hate speech, etc etc) and trolling can skip you right up to the 14 day or even a permaban.

Asking for reports is considered toxic, since it only takes 1 report from you to flag the game for review. More reports don't increase the chances for punishment.

Hypocrisy or not the point of this post is questioning why a solo person can be forced to sit in a game with a 4 man premade an suffer non stop abuse but the solo is punished for replying. Muppet you are.

But why do they go unpunished? It's like me sitting in a room with you and constantly insulting and degrading you, but if you respond once nothing happens to me and you get punished. The fact that you don't see that being unfair is mind blowing.

You dont know that. A chat restriction (which is the first punishment tier) does not show up in their match history.

They did, but it barely works. It is highly unreliable.

only if your report is the one that triggered the punishment. Which is rare. They do not show you that popup for every report you ever made.

I'll shed some good news to you, Riot is looking to improve the behavioral visibility.

Down side is that we'll have to wait till after the new client is up and running smoothly before we get it.

To be honest mate i'm completely with you on this, just also got a 14 day ban after being reported by a 4 man premade who flamed me all game, i retaliated once (didn't swear) just simply said, "maybe help me at top then" and BOOM - Reported and banned, systems broken, i wont ever type another message in game when im unbanned

The system would not punish you for that regardless of how many players reported you. If you'd like to discuss the validity of your punishment with the community, it would help to provide the chat logs from your reform card. If the logs provided to you contained no negative behavior then you can submit a Support Ticket to get assistance with having the punishment removed so that you are not at risk of a permaban now.
