So yeasterday i got a really frustrating game, and things got a little bit out hand. There was this guys who said he will give me 14day ban, although he was toxic aswell, right after game i got banned for 14 days. Because i was toxic in 1 game. Wouldnˇt something like chat restricion work aswell? Not 14 days? Im just curious if this is how the system works now ? :) If anyone cares for explanation i would be glad. Ingame name Ousvan.Teemo

Post your chat logs.

Without the chat logs we can't say for sure, but some behavior (slurs, hate speech, encouragements to self-harm, etc) can lead to an immediate 14-day ban for excessively offensive behavior.

No single player in a game can "ban" your account. The most they can do is report you, at which point Riot will take a look (via the IFS) at the game. If you did nothing report-worthy, or were below a certain threshold of toxicity, the system will take no action. If there is a history of frequent negative action on the account, it would trigger the next punishment tier (from no punishment to 10-game restrict, to 25 game, to 14 day ban, to permanent ban.

Some things that do cross the threshold and would result in an immediate ban are hate speech, self-harm, etc.

Depends on what you said or what your behavior history was.

Hate speech, homophobia, and encouraging others to harm themselves is part of Riot's zero tolerance policy. Saying such things will result in a direct 14-day ban.

Alternatively, if you had a 25 game Chat Restriction, then according to the punishment ladder, your next penalty would indeed be a 14-day ban.
