Was I in the wrong?

Recently, I switched over from another MOBA so I don't know how things work here but, I called ADC first but then Ashe called ADC and locked in as I did.Lux called support, they proceeded to try and force me to go to another lane and give up the lane I called.During the game, one of them admitted they were a duo.Which I found out to mean that they queued together.I stayed in the lane and did my best to be helpful, I went to other lanes and helped push picked up some kills got other teammates kills and I simply ignored the Ashe and Lux after a bit. They continued to berate everything I did and the Lux at one point said she was taking my kills only because she didn't want me to have them.Am I supposed to let duo's have their way or was I justified in holding my ground? It was disheartening to see them insult me while I'm trying to learn how to play a champion I've only played one game of but, highly enjoyed.

Sorry to hear that. Duo's in blind pick are usually like that. Try and endure until you can do draft.

Yea that happens a lot in blind pick a lot. Once you go into draft pick then you will have a better time because you can choose out of 2 positions that you want and you don't have to worry about people insta-locking without talking. Sometimes it will happen but it hasn't happened to me in a while. That is why once you get enough champs I would strongly recommend to play draft pick because it is way better.

If they are being dicks you can just mute them also. Press tab and click the sound thing next to there name.

Here's what you do to solve that:

Get to level 25.

Never play Blind Pick again.

But while you're getting there: Never respond positively or negatively to anyone in the game. Anything and everything you could possible say may be misconstrued. It's best to always be completely silent, and mute everyone at the very start.

No, you're good.

To answer your question - No you are not in the wrong. Blind pick sucks that way and the only real reason to play blind pick is so you can quickly insta lock a champion you really want to play against other players instead of against bots. Like the rest of the responses say - Draft pick will be better for ya, just tough it out til then .

"Am I supposed to let duo's have their way or was I justified in holding my ground?"

Short answer; Yes

Long answer; You should hold your ground because it would encourage an unhealthy environment if people could just bully each other for what they wanted. OR you should let them have the role because it would be so much simpler than causing a fuss over it.

Basically standing up for yourself causes a problem in the game, but is overall better, while you could also be the better person here and let them have it, but that would be giving them something they sure as hell don't deserve and would encourage them to do it again. Winning immediately brings poor long term effects, winning after the fact has better effects that you yourself probably won't feel.

Go draft mode. You can pick your two roles you want, and are guaranteed one of them. You still might run into someone being rancid and stealing a role anyway, but its not as likely.

If you dont play ranked, you are always in the wrong.

FantasySniper11/20/2016, 3:56:08 AM1 votes

You weren't in the wrong.

If the asshole wants to force you into a role you already called dibs on (by the abominable system that is Blind Draft role-calling), don't let it get to you.

You are completely fine. I'd just report them, and then block them.

Also if you are new to the game, if you press tab and then look by their name, there is a button to mute people you don't want to listen to, it looks like a megaphone, and clicking it makes it get crossed out.

AKA the person in all chat who thinks he's nightblue. (If you ever see someone saying CY@ or "get outta my jungle!" in all chat they are just troll fanboys of a popular youtuber.

Hold your ground. If you take a parking space and someone wants it, you don't give it to them. Same logic applies here. Don't worry, it used to be worse with the 4 man premades who would intent feed if they didn't get what they wanted.

Your best bet is to mute someone the second they get insulting. Don't tell them you're muting them, just mute them, then report them at the end of the match. If they were especially bad, just check the forums every now and then, and you'll probably see their name pop up here making a thread like, "OMG, I got perma banned?! Really Riot?! I've been NOTHING BUT NICE EVERY GAME".

Harvey Rabbit11/18/2016, 9:20:28 AM1 votes

You're not in the wrong (of course), but Riot now bans people for not following what the majority on their team want, so you have to be careful. People will definitely group report you if they are mad at you for whatever reason.

This sounds like blind pick, a horrible place filled with trolls and other dark creatures. I suggest switching to draft even if it means more que times since the troll population isn't nearly as large (They do still exist in there too though).
