Removing lp loss for AFK's

I just had an AFK in my ranked promos who lost the entire game for us. Our jungler told him to stop taking jungle camps and he completely raged and AFK'd losing the match. Not only do these things make people trying to climb waste 45 minutes but it also stops them from climbing and ruins win rates ect. How is this even fair? Its out of any teammates control so why are they still being punished for it? If someone were to AFK in a ranked match then the other teammates shouldn't be losing a full lp lose but the person that afk'd should be getting punished more for it by losing twice as much lp. There's been times where i'v had afk's back to back just leaving the game and not coming back resulting in lp loss and one time a demotion. Riot always says if you're higher then your tier then you should climb. But how can anyone be so above their tier that they can carry 4v5?

While losing LP when a player goes AFK is pretty sad, a system like that can be easily abused. I vote no.

Queue duo. Don't like how your game is going? No problem.

You - "Hey friend, AFK so I lose no LP. I will AFK the next one." Friend - "No worries, mate. I got you." B + AFK Win + 15-25LP Lose - 0LP

On and on and on. Nobody would ever lose LP except those who AFK!

I think an issue might be that some players might afk on purpose in the face of a potential loss so as to have others not lose the lp. I agree that it is quite frustrating, and this issue has been around since ranked began, but it is honestly a rare issue. Yes, it may happen to an individual several times in a day, and might happen during promos causing a demotion, but if u just keep playing you will climb and reach whatever tier you honestly belong in. Imo and experience all players think we are better than what tier we might be stuck in...the problem with that is that it just isn't true. I have come to terms with that, but I have been playing since s1 and have had to come to realize that..yup, I am a bronze player, I might be able to get to silver, but I simply belong here is the point, and it does not matter how many afk's or trolls or worse players you have on your team...if you keep trying and playing it levels out to place us where we honestly belong. I suggest finding other players you enjoy playing with and running with them. That would reduce the potential of another afk on the team.. just try and have fun because honestly I have learned that it's just a game, and no matter what rank you achieve on here, it really means nothing in the grand view of your life. Good luck out there.
