Stop punishing players that have AFKs.

Remake was a great first step in letting those that get stuck with an AFK to not have to take an L. But there has to be a way to soften the blow for those of us that have someone on our team at 5 minutes in. Even if you were up 5/0 as a team, the chances of winning almost evaporate as soon as a teammate goes AFK. I'm fine with losing. I lose a lot. It happens. But I think it's ridiculous that Riot doesn't have a way to soften the blow for teams that lose through no fault of their own. Surely there is a way to forgive such losses without abuse of the system?

If you can think of a way by all means give them something to work with. The only way for now would be a loss forgiven, and thats not happening since loads of people would abuse the system. So what else could they do to help?

Simple way to solve this would be to have the afk take the majority of the lp loss. So instead of all the players taking a 20 lp loss, the afk would take 40lp loss and the others would only get like a 15 lp loss. I believe this system should be implemented based on score as well. Based on your letter score ('S', 'A', 'B'...) you lose less or more lp, that way feeders and people who just plain suck get less lp and lose more lp. It would be a fair system to reward players who do well in the game and who genuinely shouldn't be taking the majority of the loss because of some 0/10 player.

Yes, I have thoughts on perhaps not losing any lp if I have an afk in game. I had multiple ranked games with afks in my game.

However, they have their concerns. What if you are duo with another person and then youre losing your game. You could just ask your friend to afk so you wouldn't be punished. Especially when smurf accounts can be found so often, might as well just duo with you with a smurf, and potentially afk if you're losing the game. Since it's a smurf nobody cares about.
