Report Options

Serious question, feel free to chime in especially a member of the Riot organization(however unlikely). Why bother putting any other report options besides verbal abuse, when you have absolutely no intention of stopping any player from any of the following? Note: order has no meaning just random. 1.) Intentional Feeding

Ex: Happens in anywhere from 75 to 90% of game from B5 - G3

2.) Hatespeech, racism, homophobic comments, sexism, etc.

Ex: Me: making joke "what do you say when you have a vayne adc on your team?" Unnamed Ally player: "rape her?" Me: "what the fuck?"

3.)AFKing (Leaverbuster does fine if the player actually disconnects, but is there actually any penalty to afking at all? especially when its to specifically spite teammates being as its the most common scenario?) 3a.)Refusing Teamwork. (going tocombine this because of how common the scenario is.)

4.) Getting Boosted Ex: a few weeks ago i encountered a player who was getting boosted through silver by a bronze 3 player who had a 95% win rate streaking and duo'ing every game with him and i'm sure its quite obvious what was taking place, the person likely paid for an elo boost. I report both these players as its against the rules. While the kid doing the boosting got banned, there's now a boosted player who got boosted all the way to s1 promos and never got penalty. This player is inevitably going to free fall and likely sandbag many different peoples games on the way down. Still playing as of 2 days ago.

I've played a very long list of games, that take a blind eye policy but this one might take the cake.... It's unreal.

Note: Concerning the poll. For me it's a coin-toss between Hatespeech and Refusing Teamwork.

There should still be an unskilled report Imo. I don't care if that option doesn't do anything, I just need a button to report to just throw away my frustration. I honestly don't want to report people for intentionally feeding even if they really didn't.

I'm pretty sure sexism isn't reportable in league and the example you showed was the exact opposite of your argument, you tried to make a joke and someone added simply hijack the joke giving it a unexpected answer with shock value, kind of a "why the chicken crossed the road" mixed with "knock knock. come in" joke.

When considering humor, keep in mind that simply because one jokes of a dark subject does not necessarily mean that person is being sexist/racist/homophobic or anything of the sort. People who have not experienced the negative consequences of violations of a specific nature perpetrated against them may not directly relate those jokes to the nature of the action itself. I'm not saying we should be allowed to offend people, simply that we should be allowed to pick our party. In a game of league we can only really do this by creating premades, so for the most part it would be polite to refrain from jokes that target a particular hate group or some cultural disparity. I would add though, that unless explicitly stated by the potential offender, jokes are meant to make people laugh. Oftentimes when I toe the line of dark humor and someone is offended, being apologetic doesn't work, and that is the problem I have with the recipients of jokes. If I make a joke about something you find offensive, you voice your distaste and then I apologize and refrain from telling those types of jokes, you should not bring it up again. However many (I hate the term but it fits well here) Social Justice Warriors will pick a fight with someone who has already expressed that he meant no harm in the joke. Only when someone refuses to acknowledge your preferences should it become an issue. Remember, jokes are created to make people laugh. You have to decide if the person is trying to make YOU laugh, or simply trying to make HIS/HERSELF laugh at your discomfort. Don't rush to conclusions and become offended by every little action you can't perceive the nature of. One of the problems with humor has always been that it is a double-edged sword for the creative mind. It can offend and it can brighten your day. Choose to let yourself see the true nature of the person telling the joke, and you may become a more tolerant, happier individual.
