Banned for crashed launcher during champ select

I was recently in champ select when my launcher crashed for an unknown reason. I rebooted my launcher and went to play a game but it said I was banned for a while. This seems unreasonable because there was nothing I could have done to stop my launcher from crashing. I am aware it might have been a minor inconvenience to other players but it was not a choice. Maybe it could be changed so there is no ban if the launcher crashes because there is nothing you can do to stop it if it crashes. If not then I guess it is just an inconvenience.
