Extremely disheartned with ranked.

So out of the 12 or so games of ranked I have played this year, I have run in to almost an EXTREME amount of hostile behavior and trolls in my ranked games. It has literally gotten so bad that I will dodge a game just so I don't have to deal with such rage inducing behavior. Now I know this is a dead horse and I am just beating it even more, but honestly Riot, I really honestly will not and can not play ranked. I want to, I want those victorious skins, i want the new icon, I want to be able to say "Hey yea, I'm gold" or what ever.

But as of RIGHT now, I can not touch another ranked game until i have some confidence that I wont literally be bombed with filth. The ONLY place I have experienced worse behavior and horrid rage inducing people is in the beginner are on alt accounts.

Please PLEASE add something that lets me mute/ignore/ or DODGE a ranked game with out penalty!

or ban harder. please ban harder.

well, you can already /ignore all. But really, I've noticed the same thing. When they instituted the new ranked queue, people were really happy for a long time, and the community was way better. Recently, however, I've noticed an influx of people who just crap all over the other players in the game. I can't climb in ranked because I get so frustrated with the crap that spews out of their keyboards that I tilt and then I want to lose the game just so those jerks don't get to win. I try REALLY hard to ignore them. I mute them, I block, I do all kinds of things but damn, it gets to me.

I just played a game with a group of 3 people that queued together, one other person and me, and literally every person in that game besides me was toxic and they were all crapping on me. My build sucked, then it was I'm too scared, then it was I do no damage. I don't even know. It was the worst experience. I wasn't even doing all that bad either, went 6/6/6 at the end of the game and had the best score on my team next to the elise. I had to mute EVERYONE. Literally EVERYONE. But it got so frustrating, that I just said fk it, I'm AFK farming, and just gave up. I mean, maybe that's a problem with me, but why are there so many of these awful people in this game?

And when I report it feels like nothing ever happens. I'm not sure how the report system works, but I've heard that everyone in the game has to report someone for verbal abuse for anything to even get done, and even then, it's just a chat restriction. So they can just crap on you for one sentence that ruins your game instead of 8.

Sorry for the rant, I've just been really enjoying other games lately that don't have this awful community, and then I come back to this and remember why I stopped playing. :/ I really like LoL and it makes me sad that I can't play due to player behavior.

I've noticed too it hasn't gotten any better. I thought I'd be fine if I muted 90% of my games.... that last 10% I still wanted to believe in the playerbase. Instead I got suspended, responding to other players. Oh well. Once it's over, I'll have to mute 100% of my games.

I'm right there with you man. played 3 ranked games tonight and in all of them I had either an afk, a rager, or a troll.

In the last one it was a premade group of 3 that all got angry and tilted together. then ALL THREE of them ran down mid lane giving free kills. The amumu eventually closed his client and never came back.

Riot has lost me. I'm done with this game if this is the "competitive" nature they want it to be. 2 v 5 isn't "competitive" ranked. Its a disgrace. I literally log into this game and immediately regret playing as soon as the queue pops due to the fact that i don't have ANY fun on it anymore.

I guess it's time to bust out some new games. gg rito.

Do you wanna have fun and play real competitive integrity? Quit this lolcrap and play Overwatch.

It looks like I am not the only one that agrees with you. I have tried to steer almost entirely away from ranked, not only because I don't want to play with that kind of negativity, but because it's not even worth it. If playing ranked is supposed to be to show my skill and success, then losing every game due to the trolls and verbally abusive jerks in this game is not worth my time. At least in normals it doesn't mean anything if I lose.

To answer your problem though, RIOT is in dire need of changing their system of punishment. Take it from personal experience, but they will punish players (such as me) for pointing out a summoner's hacking/trolling/verbal abuse long before they will ever actually punish those players who are actually in the wrong. How to fix this? I don't know. Honestly, somehow get enough people together and sign a petition and tell RIOT that they're screwing up this game and that we've had enough of it. They still probably wouldn't listen though.
