AFK troll groups in norms

Just played a game with a group of four others. The mid laner fed three kills and then went AFK at 7 ish minutes. Since remainder of the team was grouped with that person, they held the game hostage and refused to surrender. I'm sure this has happened to others. I want to shed some light on this issue in hopes that Riot will pay more attention and maybe enact stricter and more immediate AFK consequences to folks who do this. This is the worst kind of behavior, wastes players' time and severely undermines the experience of the game.

Have you considered the possibility someone lagged in game and couldn't play hence the feeding and then finally internet just crapped out? Not saying that's what happened but lag spikes are not all that rare occurrence and you're better off afk than play with 1000+ pings and feed some more. Have you considered that the others still want to play the game out despite what happened to their pre-made? Don't be so quick to jump to trolling. Their 3 people had to play the 4v5 game as well you know.

Not all afk is purposeful or malicious. IRL shits happen from people driving into the electrical pole, to ISP unscheduled maintenance, to your relatives having a medical emergency, to game lagged 1000+ pings for no reason, etc. This is why Rito cannot enact stricter and more immediate afk consequences unless someone established a pattern of afk.

With a game with so many millions of players behavior like this is inevitable and extremely common. If you don't like this sort of behavior I recommend playing another game :) Whenever it happens to me I just focus on myself. Even if I lose I am still able to practice my champion and become better. Plus it's a normal and you don't lose any ELO :)
