Remakes are stupid

Pretty much what the title says. Why is there an option to waste 15 minutes of my time with literally no upside? Their team doesn't have all 5, okay they shouldn't lose LP for that, but I don't get any? Why? Why can't people just ff at any time? Why not give some kind of remake that isn't just sorry someone ruined your game, instead of a free win or unfortunate loss, you get nothing.

I just can't fathom how wasting 15 minutes of my time was okayed. Because you can't exactly punish the person who isn't there, because sometimes internet goes out, or their computer crashes. So the waste 15 minutes option was really the best you could do?
