I'm talking mostly in solo duo que.. Why do trolls still exist? Is its because the rewards of winning are not enough? Or is it because losing a game doesn't really have to many negatives ( besides losing LP who cares if you lose honestly)? My Question is why are people still trolling my ranked games in 2017 and what can Riot do to fix it?

Some people are idiots and nothing in the world can fix that.

The only way to kill a troll is to ignore them and they are getting more attention than ever. I myself prefer to battle trolls because I find them hilarious, but I don't in this game merely because of the backwards rules and my commitment to not lose my account over trash talking.

Because the world becoming one year older doesn't cleanse people.

Ok thank you guys for telling me they will always be here. That helps a lot. I'm trying to do some brainstorming here. Lets think of something so good that riot has to implement it

Many people feel like being evil, they get their kicks out of causing distress but are generally too cowardly to do it in real life so they use the Internet as a shield.

I think the problem lies in people being anonymous or (somewhat literally) having nothing to lose.

Require a Real-ID and perma-ban players indefinitely. Kinda ruins it for people who connect from outside the US. Require a subscription (less trolls, but they'll be around.) The biggest problem for Riot would likely be policing their game. millions of games to go through every day looking to weed out the bad eggs. It's just too expensive.

Some people are just sadistic and enjoy ruining things for others. You need a precise way to remove them from the game.

Because as long as they dont say anything mean in chat, they are not in danger of getting punished. Why would they disapear from a game that gives them a perfect safe space playground and even rewards them if they make someone snap, because they can then report that person and this person is more likely to get baned than the trolls are.

It gives them some sort of feeling of control. They weren't able to carry so instead of facing reality of trying to improve themselves, they devolve into unsavory people who only want to watch the world burn simply because they made it so. The fact that they're the reason a team lost the game is all the control they need, and watching others flail around because of their actions only further feeds their need of complete, utter control.

Well, at least for the worst cases. It's kind of sad to think about imo - to be so desperate for control that you no longer care about something you once held so dear.

It should also be noted I'm a over dramatic.

It's life, they are always going to exist.
