Do NOT click 'I Understand' If You Did Nothing Wrong

Or even if you were wrongfully punished. Riots instant feeback system is bullshit. You can have a team full of toxic apes and they all gang up on you with a 4x report but the moment you even think about reporting them you're already suspended. You can't even stand your ground because that will get you BANNED. You don't even get priority queues anymore, you get a bugged chat restriction that claims you'll be able to use more chat @4:00 and never receive another. Then you get suspended. I got suspended for 2 fucking weeks... all because I retaliated on toxic players but I.. get suspended. It seems that riot approves of toxicity but standing your ground and proving toxic players wrong and or calling them out for hypocrisy gets you reported. That's just not fair.

If you click 'I Understand' it's like signing your name on a ticket, claiming you did something wrong. Don't click it if you are wrongfully punished.

Riot bring back priority queues BEFORE you suspend/ban a player (Also if you suspend a player, FIRST there needs to be a 24hr timeout, then a 48hr timeout, then a week, THEN a 2 week, THEN a BAN...)

Also FIX YOUR DAMN REPORT SYSTEM. There doesn't need to be an Ai looking over reports, because if you are defending yourself and YOU report someone, the system will punish you even if they DIDN'T report you. There needs to be a team of HUMANS looking at reports. The amount of people playing this game is GREATLY exaggerated so regional report teams would be fairly small as will bring PROPER and FAIR justice to the rift.

If you are a toxic player do NOT respond to this post because you are part of the problem riot refuses to fix

Amazing. Every word you just said was wrong.

I actually agree with the general premise here: Don't click "I understand" if you didn't actually understand.

You, for example, seem to not understand that retaliating is against the rules and will be punished by AI and human review alike.

FYI: signing a traffic ticket is not an admission of guilt. It is a a promise that you will either appear in court or pay the fine. If you don't sign, they can arrest you.

You can have a team full of toxic apes and they all gang up on you with a 4x report but the moment you even think about reporting them you're already suspended.

Wrong. If you do nothing wrong, it doesn't matter if four players report you, nine players report you, or even just one player reports you - those reports will be meaningless and no punishment will be applied.

More reports =/= more weight. Four reports weigh exactly the same as one report, as all they do is trigger a review. Tantram has shown us the code the IFS uses to execute a review - if the number of reports is greater than 0, the match is reviewed.

You can't even stand your ground because that will get you BANNED.

Why would you need to stand your ground? Just mute them and report them.

You don't even get priority queues anymore, you get a bugged chat restriction that claims you'll be able to use more chat @4:00 and never receive another. Then you get suspended.

The chat restriction isn't bugged, and you never got priority queues in the first place. The punishment system goes 10-game Chat Restriction > 25-game Chat Restriction > 14-day Suspension > Permanent Suspension, with tiers being skippable if your behavior was bad enough or if you're making it abundantly clear that you didn't get the message from a prior punishment.

I got suspended for 2 fucking weeks... all because I retaliated on toxic players but I.. get suspended.

Yeah? Because counterflame is still flame. Toxicity + Toxicity = More Toxicity. Riot doesn't want that, so you get punished for retaliating.

It seems that riot approves of toxicity...

Wrong.

...but standing your ground and proving toxic players wrong and or calling them out for hypocrisy gets you reported. That's just not fair.

Again, why do you feel the need to "stand your ground" in a videogame? Mute them, report them, and move on. It's not worth your time or your account to deal with toxic players.

If you click 'I Understand' it's like signing your name on a ticket, claiming you did something wrong. Don't click it if you are wrongfully punished.

The vast majority of punishments are not applied in error. Yours is no different. You retaliated, your punishment was correctly applied.

(Also if you suspend a player, FIRST there needs to be a 24hr timeout, then a 48hr timeout, then a week, THEN a 2 week, THEN a BAN...)

How many chances do you really need to learn that what you're doing is against the rules? The current punishment ladder is lenient enough. If you can't learn after the 25-game Chat restriction (which is a hefty enough penalty on its own), are you really going to learn after being forced out for a day? Two days?

No. The 14-day ban is Riot's last warning, and it's not going to be a gentle one.

Also FIX YOUR DAMN REPORT SYSTEM. There doesn't need to be an Ai looking over reports, because if you are defending yourself and YOU report someone, the system will punish you even if they DIDN'T report you.

...No, that's not how the system works. At all. If no one reports you, your behavior will not be reviewed, and you will not be punished. The IFS doesn't arbitrarily punish random players when only one person is reported. How you could even imagine the system working like that is crazy, but, then again, self-victimizing is a crazy thing.

There needs to be a team of HUMANS looking at reports. The amount of people playing this game is GREATLY exaggerated so regional report teams would be fairly small as will bring PROPER and FAIR justice to the rift.

Small teams cannot handle millions upon millions of reports.

You don't even get priority queues anymore

Low Priority Queue was never a punishment for chat toxicity - and it still does exist for AFK, as it always has.

you get a bugged chat restriction that claims you'll be able to use more chat @4:00 and never receive another.

This is a known issue they are actively working on.

because if you are defending yourself and YOU report someone, the system will punish you even if they DIDN'T report you.

No, this is wrong. If you mute someone, that will never get you punished. You will furthermore never be punished if your behavior is not reported.

Hmmm... So.. You think that defending yourself is counter attacking back?

That's not defending, that's fighting back and you and the flamer are both in the wrong.

Xidphel6/17/2018, 11:11:50 PM2 votes

Well that sucks since your opinion doesn't mean it's a fact.

Wait... Wasn't that said already?

You seem like the kind of person that would walk up to a burning building with a flamethrower, turn to the firefighters, and ask "This'll work, right?" before torching the building even more. You can't fight fire with fire. If people are giving you shit, be it with chat, pings, or emotes, mute them. Mute them and report them after the game. Don't fight back, because you'll just get in trouble too. And, it's a game. This isn't a life or death situation where defending yourself is justified. You had the choice to mute them and forget about it, and you decided that escalating the situation was the right choice to make, and it clearly wasn't.

Kaaaay first of all you never get banned for two weeks from one game...you're just toxic period. Second when multiple people report you in one game, it doesn't affect anything. Just the fact you GOT reported.

Also yeah, responding to toxic players with toxicity isn't a solution pretty sure rioters mention this all the time that's what the mute button is for. If you continue to be toxic after a chat restrictions and a two week ban you're gonna get perma'd.

OMG triggered

[snip] I retaliated

My HR department says you can be terminated for retaliation. You're not a nice person.

[snip]...That's just not fair.

The world isn't fair. I see hints of the 'just-world hypothesis' in your text...

[snip]...There doesn't need to be an Ai looking over reports,

Oh, but there does. The AI Morpheus explained it expertly: "Human beings feel pleasure when they are watched. The need to be observed and understood was once satisfied by God. Now we can implement the same functionality with data-mining algorithms. God and the gods were apparitions of observation, judgement and punishment. Other sentiments towards them were secondary. The human organism always worships. First, it was the gods, then it was fame (the observation and judgement of others), next it will be self-aware systems you have built to realize truly omnipresent observation and judgment. The individual desires judgment. Without that desire, the cohesion of groups is impossible, and so is civilization."

And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee.
