Here in America we have something called "freedom of speech", Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. Last i checked? Terms and conditions DO NOT void the United States Constitution and Amendments and it does not justify Riot taking peoples ability to talk away as well as getting banned from the game. Is Riot breaking the law? Can this be a federal case? I understand this is Their game. But THEIR GAME is here in America, on OUR land. That's like me building a house here on US soil and saying, "it's OK to kill in here. Just sign these terms and conditions because it will make Americas laws, Amendments and Constitution not valid". It is NOT OK.

Freedom of speech works only on government. It just gives u protection from government for what you say.

Just because we have the freedom to say what we want, doesn't mean that it is an appropriate time or place. You can't cream profanities in a church or a court house. There are places where you have to monitor your language everywhere.

Doesn’t apply. No really. If we’re talking about American law, the First Amendment only applies to the government making laws that prohibit speech and, even then, freedom of speech isn’t absolute. For example, you can’t incite a riot, plan to kill the president or yell fire in a crowded theater.

Also, there’s nothing in the First Amendment that protects you from the consequences of your speech. People are fired all the time for making derogatory comments about their employer. My workplace, for example, has a social media policy that says that I can be terminated for badmouthing the company. They don’t ask for passwords and access as some companies have been known to do, but it wouldn’t be all that difficult to find me on the internet, knowing my real name, phone number and address.

another "freedom of speech" thread again, this is so boring to read. you play this game so you agree to not flame or be toxic.

ps: its nor your account, its riots account. and if they want their account to shut up, they can do that. deal with it.

freedom of speech isn't covered over the internet, it's not considered part of the United States just because it's on NA server. Freedom of speech also isn't an excuse to be an asshole and insult people. It was created so that people could speak their mind and openly criticize the majority and government without fear of being ostracized by the for their actions, this freedom however is not absolute, and there have been cases where the supreme court inhibits this right in reasonable situations. What you're attempting to do is abuse the system, which is insulting to our founding fathers and a mockery of the original constitution.

The only way you're ever banned from chat is when you're EXTREMELY Toxic and someone reports you.. (Least that I know of) I'm sorry but if it's come to that point, you deserve it. :x summoner 31

Riot isnt breaking the law because its their game and you agreed to their rules. However, that doesnt stop it from being stupid, unreasonable and exaggerated in some cases kek.
